There's 4 or 5 of them in the office dealing with Old Gold.

Not according to their private FB group - think only the baby minion deals with the customer side, and certainly emails etc are only ever signed off by the same couple of people. Though appreciate they may not want to advertise they have more in the office than thought.

Well done all Sage Star owners. I have 3 with owners group including Pentland Hills , who has previously won at the festival and aintree but will not renew again as money will be better spent elsewhere

Just watched the PP and thought of you all with shares in Stage Star. How well he and Harry did to pick up after the last fence 😊. Brilliant run which I suppose will be worth a few pennies!!

Did anyone get owners badges or even go?
@Clodagh and I went together, no badges though. She was beside herself with excitement and we had a great day!

Apparently one of the horses the boss bought at the sales pm Friday was for Claymore Racing so if anyone fancies a share up here in that with us I am sure the info will be released soon if it hasn't already.

Otherwise we have a 30k horse for sale that was bought on Friday too 😂

Stage Star ran a great race. His mistake at the last was because he was tired and that knocked the stuffing out of him even more. But luckily for him he had got himself enough clear that he could last home in front. Well done to all involved with him!

I watched the race from the canteen, I had one in the last there today.

Ha, she was nothing then everything, there was shouting, tears and possibly snot! 🤣🤣🤣

Funnily enough I’d said earlier in the day did it used to be the Mackeson, which when I was a kid was a Very Important Race (and also it used to be frosty and cold back in the day, how things have changed).

I had the best day. @Spotherisk was a superb, calm addition to my hysteria. I love that horse.
I’ve had a brilliant week, absolutely topped by yesterday but Picks Lad won with Old Gold on Thursday then @Spotherisk and I are in the Chris Honor Racing Club and Time to Bite came third at Taunton on the same day, STR got a paddock ticket.
(It’s a great club, very small, £150 a year and such lovely people).

I’m tempted by Brave Knight but @Elf On A Shelf you can probably tell me, he’s a 3 year old staying flat horse aimed at a juvenile hurdling campaign, is it likely he’ll go on to chase? Or do horses with his profile tend to stay over the smaller obstacles? I already have Swift Hawk and don’t want two near identical horses doing the same thing.
My SS winnings need spending!

@teapot i am new to Old Gold and so far think their updates are better but their fb group people are not friendly. (Not the admins, the regular bods).

The elderly man next to me didn’t, I suspect, agree with women swearing. I got disapproving looks throughout the run in. 😁

I had a great day too. I met @Elf On A Shelf , and the fabulous little mare I led up in the last put her head down, battled her way through the gaps and took off up the hill to win. I did chat to some OG people while I was waiting for her to come back down, but I'm guessing there were a lot there.
It was a great win for Stage Star - congratulations. He's an exciting horse.

Tiger Roll won the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham. He went on to win the 4m Amatuers chase, numerous cross country chases and obviously 2 Nationals. So yes, it is entirely possible for them to have a season or 2 over hurdles before going chasing.

It was good to meet you and put a face to the name! Even if your horse did beat mine ... 😂😂😂😂

Oh the regulars in the OG facebook group are a different breed. Unfortunately these syndicate shares seem to attract those who are only interested in the betting/it's a crap horse if it doesn't win every time types.

I did post once saying OG should do some comms/vids/a visit day on what it actually takes to get a horse from fit to racing fit to racecourse to winning.

My main gripe is definitely they are a betting company and that’s what they do. I rarely bet, I love watching magnificent athletes doing their best which is why I follow racing.
