RSPCA SHAME ON YOU

I do work within the legal system and i have no idea what your trying to say or even what point your trying to argue with?

Please read the link which clarifies what exactly happens in a magistrates court, with a summary offense (Animal Welfare Act) bought by a prosecutor, in this context private- RSPCA.

http://www.judiciary.gov.uk/you-and-the-judiciary/going-to-court/magistrates-court

I find it a little worrying that someone who works 'within the legal system' is unable to spell 'offence' correctly ;)

Minesadouble ha! Bite me!
Never made a mistake?
As a new member i am actually finding it astounding how rude and quick to accuse people have been on here. This is a public forum not some private members club no?
I love a good debate and will endeavour to engage with people respectfully.

Hmmmm Im pulled up for everything so welcome to the club... :p

I didnt see other people revealing what job they do.... especially the one which involves 'training PCs and PCSO's'... even though I had to disclose if I was a cleaner or a chief inspector or control room etc.....

Will this be another case of people 'answering the questions they want' rather than what they have been asked......

Springy remember you don't have to disclose anything you don't want to.
If people are interested in what my job entails or anything else they can respectfully ask me. I can then chose If I want to discuss my personal life. Just like everyone else.
I will say if someone wants to point out minor errors they must be very confidant that they will never suffer a keyboard slip or some sort!
Just saying chaps!

I just think all the RSPCA threads go exactly the same way:

This happened, RSPCA were rubbish.
Everyone with a bad experience comments saying they aren't surprised.
Everyone with a good experience comments saying they aren't as bad as people make out.
OP is made out to be a liar.
500 pages later and everyone still has the same view of the RSPCA as they did when the thread started.

:p

This is looking rather true :p

If you read back it was suggest by YOU I didnt know my job or the laws I need to know within my job..... I told you what I did and why I didnt need to know PACE...

So....

I am asking you a direct question if you work in law and teach PC and PCSOS what do you do?

Errrrr Springy you seem to have your wires crossed.

1, when have i ever posted that i teach anybody anything? (considering i only started yesterday this should be pretty easy to find if i said it.)

2, having looked back on this thread it was seemingly guido16 who directly asked you what you did. i had nothing to do with that particular question apart from explaining about green yards and even stating 'respect for the psco'.

Not so much respect now.

Still dont get the not much respect now comment??

Hang on, so you quoted a post from me, and asked me a direct question. yet you say you meant the other Moomine? Who is that? Do you mean Moomin1 by chance?

Well i will reiterate again i am not that person so it is entirely unfair to ask me those questions. DO NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS OR BE SO NARROW MINDED AS TO THINK TWO PEOPLE ARE THE SAME JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE SIMILAR USER NAMES ON A PUBLIC FORUM.

I respected you for your job within the community, I wished to state it. No longer as the way you have communicated with me, a total stranger giving you no provocation is less deserving. Now go and take up the issue with the people who actually questioned you if you feel that strongly. capiche?

I didnt say you were the same person it was a MISTAKE you know like you did before and no I have done one.... (OMG IM HUMAN)

The question was for MOOMIN1 yes....

CAPICHE????

I got a call tonight from two of my friends from the yard, they had found a shetland pony tied to a lampost by the neck using a car seatbelt. The RSPCA would not attend they obviously thought leaving the pony there was ok. The police were nearly as bad, at least they showed up but then handed responsiblity for the pony over to my friends and then left
I think the word PREVENTION should be dropped from the RSPCA name would he have to starve to death before they did anything

My personal experience with the RSPCA would have a lot of bleep bleep coments if I was speaking them, as I am typing them I have to use the (*&*( (*&^( ((**&&^^ is what I think of them.

Well then for that i apologise. Several times you inisisted it was myself whom had questioned you regarding your job. Maybe next time you will check.

Isnt it funny how some information can get twisted into untruths....

It was once not several times......

However this is petty and besides the point of the thread......

however if you have the urge to let us know what you do then that would be quite interesting .....

I just posted a title re badger baiting and successful prosecution that was on BBC TV about half hour ago and it was MOVED. Clearly am not allowed to say that the RSPCA did something right. Are we only allowed to post bad things on RSPCA . Baffled? Why did it get pulled??????

It might be in another area.... ??

great when they get things right..... its when they get things wrong that people are up in arms......

consider transport costs, field staff time, police time, boarding costs, you'd be talking alot more than £54, but agree in principal, but see my other post regarding disposing of those not claimed....

Thats simple anough, those not claimed could be sold, at the end of every month to recoup some of the costs , ;)

http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=588064

It's not horse related which is probably why it was moved.

Ta,Yes it has been moved to Soapbox(I hadnt even heard of that bit as I normally lurk in my cold boredom and sad life on here). Ha!

I will add horse word somewhere next time. But anyway my approx 6 experiences of old horse, swans and 2 dogs were all positive RSPCA experiences. Charities are Charities if they save one animal thats good. I still cant understand why this OP didnt remove the seat belt and no mention the horse was about to strangle etc? Oh well. Thanks for replies. Off I go to Soapbox section...banned forever.....hmmm.

Now they may be not tied to a post but this is a welfare and a public health matter. Somewhere on youtube there is a video of ponies on a school playing field and trotting loose down the road behind buses. Now the RSPCA may not think its their concern but they are well advertised charity that advertises that they are out to help animals the amount of animals they could help by organising 'green pens', lobbying MP's etc is far more than spending their time on court cases against people that are mainly lawabideing.
I have rung them and they are not interested unless it has a condition score of 1 and has no water, it could be in the most unsuitable place but if its fat and has water its OK.
I have no objection to this stance but sit any afternoon and be 'bombed' by RSPCA adverts and that not the impression that is left. Infact tonight on the One Show they were discribed as having power and experts. I would far rather pay a goverment department or local council to do this and then we would all know where we stand and then they would be accountable to all of us, at the moment you give them money and they cherry pick what they do and what they will go out to.
If you have a stray dog you have a dog warden and have to pay to get it back, it should just the same with equines or else its sold or euthanised.

Seeing as the message doesn't seem to be getting through.

THIS IS A POLICE AND COUNCIL MATTER. DOG WARDENS ARE EMPLOYED BY THE COUNCIL. SOME COUNCILS ALREADY COLLECT AND KEEP ABANDONED HORSES READY TO BE COLLECTED ONCE THE CHARGE IS PAID.

It is not the RSPCA's responsibility. Call the police or the council.
