It wouldn't be at all surprising if the sellers were aware of this thread and think they'll get their money as a pity buy. I have a DD special, but he's small and costs little to keep but I paid more than he was worth.

I hope they are aware, and aware that some of us have itchy fingers that want to get in touch with welfare places. Is she only advertised on dd?

I have reported the ad to a welfare charity and sent photo to them. I am not sure if anything will come of it but I have at least tried.

They won't take less then £800 for her. Asked if they'd take any less then asking price, came back with £800. I offered £500 but don't seem they want to budget from £800 for anyone interested.

She's down to £700 now...

If you can find out more information on the exact location of the horse, I can pass it onto our field officer. In the meantime, I would advise contacting Trading Standards https://www.gov.uk/find-local-trading-standards-office , as the horse is being advertised for sale.

I've just phoned the number to enquire if she's still for sale. If so, I'll go and view her.
I could possibly put her at a reliable friend's green yard.

God the poor thing, this breaks my heart. I have plenty of good grazing and spare stables here, but I really couldn’t spend that amount of money on an oldie

what if those who want to chip in?? Might be more than she is worth financially but it would mean she was safe.
