My son's favourite horse at the ranch we go to in Montana is called Stick - that would suit him. Basil was the name of a horse I only owned for a few months after he tried to kill me and another couple of people.
Claude
Don't ask me why but I read your post last night and it popped out as soon as I logged in
Maybe I need to drink more!
I hope you and Claude have many happy years ahead
I had a shire called Basil, it means kingly one. He was a stubborn sob tho, one pushed out the stable wall scratching his butt so the roof fell on him!
I like Chancer too as my old horse was one and my absolute soulmate.
Apart from that either Brahms or Dexter. He is gorgeous though!
A classic grown up name like George or Geoffrey perhaps?
I might be inclined to try Troy - as I'm sure you will be using Oy a lot around him.
My ginger baby is Jethro. This was the joke name while he was a bump with Jed & Martha as parents. I was hoping for a filly and we tried out a lot of names but Jethro stuck.
