Just pondering peoples thoughts please? my horse (ex eventer and current bd horse) showed a little lack of performance and odd steps over about 2 years, was diagnosed around 9 months ago with psd, after a few shockwaves and some rehab riding is now more sound than ever (thankfully!)
Anyway due to pregnancy I may need to part with this horse, I couldn't show her to buyers so she would have to go to sales livery but I am wondering as I have been told she will pass a vetting no problem how you broach giving this info to potential buyers?

I have to be honest - I think you absolutely must disclose this :( I'd be straight and to the point about it. Couldn't have it on my conscience any other way.
and I'm afraid I wouldn't want to buy a horse with a previous diagnosis of PSD however sound it was at the time :(

Oh please don't get me wrong there is no question of disclosing it, its just when and how? do you put it in an ad or mention it when interest comes, such a difficult one!

I think it would be best to put it in the ad. I imagine that even if she's technically sound now, it will knock her value down drastically, I'm afraid. Her work will need to be carefully managed to try and fend off a recurrence.

^^ this. I'd also expect to see something like this in the advert. Otherwise you might end up with loads of enquiries from people who simply aren't interested - wasting your time and theirs.
