Some of you may know the problems I've been having of late with my lovely old lady. Anyway, this morning when we went out to feed her, she was lying in the manege (not normal). She was not very responsive and, despite having on her rug, seemed a tad cold. We called for the vet and that dreaded decision was made. She was PTS, as the vet said her BP was low and I said I didn't want her to be put through any further investigations. I believe that she had had enough and that the problem was with her heart. She did not suffer in any way and I would not have continued to have her injected, nor given any invasive treatment. I'm sorry if this seems garbled, but I'm struggling with everything as I've had her for 25 years, since she was 4. I can't believe she has gone and left a big hole in our lives. RIP my beautiful lady. xx
