Well if the worst did happen that's what dog insurance with public liability is for
I'll be taking my dog to Bramham for the first time this year, he'll be wearing a gentle leader along with a harness with two leads as a belt and braces approach, he's a big strong dog and I want control, and options if one fails, no flexi lead either (i dont think they make one robust enough anyway lol) I've no doubt he'll love it as he loves people, dogs, and hoovering food whenever he can
I won't take him if its Sahara hot or peeing down, and my oh can stop by and pick him up if he gets tired/fed up at any point, benefit of being a local![]()
how many people have dog insurance though?? You might find not many. My 4 king charles spaniels werent insured, my Gordon setter was as he was a show dog and also one heck of big strong boy who could pull me off my feet and I wasnt exactly light when we had him
If I needed to take all those precautions just to take my dog to an event that your mentioning above id be seriously having second thoughts about taking him. Big strong dog or not anything could happen, you could trip over something/someone and let go and bang hes off. Better to just leave him at home IMO but your dog and your insurance.
Actually as an aside I wonder how insurance companies would view that considering you had chosen to take the dog to such an event, would they cover any damage done??? Just a thought
