Mine never have water in their crate overnight.

They have access to water on their toilet breaks as there are multiple bowls in the garden, but I can't recall any of my puppies ever taking a drink overnight.

No....I remember being advised by several people when toilet training to take water away before bed so they can't go to bed with a full bladder (i.e. set them up to win). Given that our puppy had no health problems and the temperatures were not high, we did that and he seemed fine. He was never thirsty in the morning, and as an adult doesn't drink overnight. Obviously if the puppy has health issues or is waking up desperately thirsty then there's a problem, but otherwise I don't think I'd get too worked up about it either way.

Usually yes but my husky pup will dig all the water out of his water bowl and all over his bed so he has no where dry to sleep if left unattended
I have an absolute fear of him throwing his head in it while he sleeps and drowning 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve watched him do it (not drown obviously)

My vet has never requested water withheld overnight prior to an op, they’ve always said pick it up at 7am.
But my pups don’t have water in their cage overnight.
However this subject has been done to death on here before, I’m not sure theres any new conclusions to be drawn.

Things have changed since Monday (9 weeks old) ?

He’s still not making it through the night and peeing on his pads in the crate so thinking of cutting off water at about 9/10 so he doesn’t wee himself at night cuz otherwise he sleeps soundly through the night

Yeah he’s nine weeks old he had water at night and was peeing in his bed at night and digs the water out of his bowl? Nothing had changed I’m not sure what you mean he no longer gets water at night

My lot had bowls attached to the side of the crates at a comfortable height. None have ever tried to spill it-pretty impossible given the set up.

I could probably report you for that. But am feeling mellow and don’t use that button. Very personal and offensive though.
I have now edited my post to remove one word. But I remain profoundly disappointed to learn that there are some posters on here who seem to routinely deny their dogs access to water at times.

It is very sad.

I suppose I sort of do withhold water at night, in that mine sleep in the bedroom and the water bowls are downstairs, but at least one or other always gets up for a pee and they can have a drink then if they want. I can't ever recall any of them doing so though. I have 2 adult and a pup.

The dogs slept upstairs with me while parents were away (usually sleep in kitchen), but I did put a bowl of water in my bedroom.
They had free access to go downstairs and drink from the big water bowl in the kitchen but I guessed they probably wouldn’t bother and as JD is a thirsty old lady, I like her to have water nearby at all times.
