Had a long ride today, its the start of spring, was 20 degrees which is unseasonably warm. Note the beautiful snow capped mountains

Yes I am very fortunate it’s a massive farm just up the road from me. The landowners are happy for others to enjoy their property too they say, lovely people.

Me and neddy walking round Xc field, pigeon jumped out of bush, neddy span and I came out the side door. He’s not usually much of a scardy cat but might have been on high alert as it was a new venue and I don’t know if he’s ever done any Xc.

I think any horse would spook at that. I had a similar incident with a pheasant coming out of a hedge on the road, dunno how I managed to stay on!

How inconvenient indeed, I did that last winter, got off my horse, tripped and crashed into the drawbar on my horse trailer. Was in plaster for 6 weeks. I hope it heals quickly for you.

Yes, that’s me! And Sophie is fantastic. Hoping for speedy healing as I’ve only had the horse 3 months and things were just coming together.
At least I achieved my lifetime goal of riding BD (MyQuest prelim) 2 weeks before my enforced rest.

My horse has been known to eat while rolling. Mouthful of grass, roll over, another mouthful of grass, roll back... That was when I'd just got her, and she hadn't had any proper turnout for a few months, though.
