Show me your manege

Had a bad experience with Martin Collins, wouldn't recommend.
My flexiride sample had lots of bits of plastic in it which put me off using them, but most people seem happy with theirs

Not when you basically can't get any training done at home because of the monsters ;)

My lot don't generally spook at shows but they find the wildlife rustling in the trees and hedges so overwhelming that I reliably have a better ride away from home than I ever get at home. This week I was contemplating only riding the TB at arena hire over the winter, its that bad!

Yes, I am considering having high boards along one long side as there is a huge rustly hedge where the school is going. I will be riding in the dark by plug-in floodlights at least for a while, so it will be super spooky & shadowy. Home is supposed to be my 'safe place' and I don't want to be getting spooked off every 5 seconds.

Surprised at people saying avoid things for spooking reasons. Surely good to have lots going on at home so everywhere else is not super scary?

Mine don't spook at shows either they only do it at home weird but true, I find this time of year worse as the leaves that are left on the trees are now old and crispy, so when the wind blows they make more noise which they hate, and some idiot thought conker trees were a good idea had those come down on my head and on horse.

We also have a track one side of ours which leads to other fields and is car access to the gravel sites, so cars horses people and bikes will just appear as you are coming up the long side, one truck for some reason has a huge flappy orange flag on the front that is great fun as well.

There is a water trough at that end in the field as well which the birds like to play in normally a bunch of crows or magpies, that absolutely freaks mine out I can't go down that end once that starts.

Oh god this is all so familiar! Ours is an evergreen hedge about 3m tall with trees behind it, so and a green lane between them so there are often walkers/horses/scrambler bikes going up which you can't really see but obviously can hear.
Behind the hedge on the other long side there are turnout paddocks so often horses wandering past again unseen but you can hear them!

And it's pheasant season so they are usually sitting on the top of the hedge and then flapping off, honking away.
Aaarghhhhhh! NO show is this scary!
