We have snow in north Manchester! Its quite light at the mo, but sticking and has already covered the road.

Just over the hill from you, OP, on W.Yorks/E.Lancs border, we saw our first flakes at about 4.00pm and just had a light dusting for hours. I've just let the dog out though and the flakes are bigger and settling faster. We're not panicking though, as we only get snowed in if there's a wind causing drifts at the end of the lane.
