Snow

South Yorkshire, we've had light snow for the last hour, settling on the grass and footpaths but traffic is keeping the roads clear. The forecast say it's going to continue till 8am tomorrow, and 0°all night, fortunately only a 4 mile run on a flat A road to the yard at 5:30 in the morning so shouldn't be to bad, its bin day tomorrow that will be entertaining if we get a good coverage.

We have some forcast, but it's arrival is getting moved back hourly by our local weather guy. We were on the edge of it anyway so wouldn't be surprised if it slides straight past us.
Just a bit of sleet at the moment.

Just noticed the forecast is heavy snow here tonight (it's peeing it down and blowing a gale at the mo) so got out my sick bed to put gelding in stable and hay in the barn for the mares, it is handy having them at home.

Just a light sprinkling here but very icy. Car read -1 on the way home at 5:30.
When the clouds clear the moon and stars are very bright.

Anybody down in Kent?

OH is supposed to be going to over tomorrow in her car; drive up to Calais, on the Shuttle then drive to Ashford for work, taking a couple of her colleagues.

According to the Met Office it should be between 5°C and 9°C and light rain...

Just peered put of the window and no snow but it feels like minus 3 apparently according to my weather app.

I'm getting up at 5.15am to get ready for work.

South Yorkshire 5cm---2" of snow, think it stopped about 3 ish, been 4 miles to the yard and back all A and B roads have been gritted and the village link bus routes aswell, credit to our council, have safe journeys everyone.
That'll be thanks to the nineteen new gritters that I heard about on the wireless last week.

I left the yard in heavy rain this morning (Surrey) and by the time I hit Junction 16 on the M25 I was in heavy snow flurries. Not that it slowed many people down...

The pictures are soo beautiful. It's warming up again for the weekend (on my forecast at least) so it's fleeting beauty.

Not Kent, but Surrey. Just rain where we are, even at yard, which is one of the highest points in SE England. More likely to see disruption due to flooding!

I'm not looking forward to that freezing over the next couple of nights. My field is half a mile away and some of the track is likely to be a real ice rink!
