So Dissapointed

theres nothing wrong with discussions... and repying to the original post..
but the majority of replies were insulting to the OP, and thats uncalled for. What has been posted about the OP is defamation of character and she could be well informed to take legal action.
and the heading requires to be changed from "dissapointed to disappointed." Its irritating me!

LOL, I didn't want to say anything as I didn't want to offend OP by saying she couldn't spell!

Honestly guys.... this is so silly now... it's over 48 hours later and it's STILL going on!

I've apologised for any offence I caused, I've been suggested to put the people I don't really want to associate with on UI, then I get told this is rididulous, everyone is agreed on the matter that people should be allowed to voice their opinions, which I think everybody did...

I'm sure if Shils is big enough and ugly enough to post a controversial post like that, and the same goes for everyone who had front enough to post a controversial answer on the thread, they are big enough and ugly enough to deal with the consequences... as everyone has done, including me.

Is there really still more that needs to be said on this matter???

I don't go in SB so wouldn't know but I think whoever commented about the poor baby really put things into perspective. At the end of the day, I stand by the majority of my opinions, but then so will you all, and I think we can all respect that... no?
Shall we not put this to bed now?!

ETA: Yes, the title is annoying me too, but I can't change it now as you can only edit 5 mins after you've made a post!!

" Is this still going on" was what i though littleSoph when i saw your post!(this whole new thread) You kind of carried it on yourself by posting this thread! But agree it should end now, it's getting stupid.

Its not unusual for some threads to run for a couple of days, it is just more noticeable now that everyone has the forum set to show last post rather than when the post was made. It will die down again at some point :)

But why???? Why shouldnt peole defend their beliefs???

Nikki xx

That's a bit extreme isn't it? I hardly think that whether or not someone likes cobs is as strong enough to be classed as a belief? :p (Nice horse in your sig btw though!)

PS. I resent being called ugly- I'm not TOO bad with make up on :p

........ only less yellow!) :D (sorry, I'm just looking for excuses to use these smileys now)

I posted a reply to you , but accidently posted it in the " why do working class vote tory":o:o Go look there! LOL they will all think i'm bonkers:D

Is this just a ploy to get people to look at a political post...... :p

LS said we were all big enough and ugly enough before, I was just deliberately taking it out of context!

I think you'll find that NiknKia only developed a strong 'belief' in the niceness of cobs :p when I expressed my 'belief' that spurring and smacking her horse when it displayed separation anxiety issues may not be the most humane solution to the problem.
Read her thread 'Horses that hate to be alone'...

Hate to say S but you dont really know my horse and If you want to post on my thread again feel free but dont bring up stuff that happened last week just to get the heat off yourself. If you want to fire up threads then dont get scared if it burns you.

And I hate to say but your totally taking my post out of context and those that read it I imagine wont be saying I was spurring and smacking she got one sharp smack for the rear then asked to move on with my leg, I didnt spur her forwards in the sense that your implying;). i am sure you like your horses dancing on the back legs in the middle of the road and thats all right I am sure;)

Oh and having ridden and admired cobs and have friends who have them i didnt 'just' develope and interest in them thanks very much so get your facts straight before spraffing off in future.

But then again the reaction is all that matters to you isnt it;)

Ah, THAT thread! You asked for advice, you got it in several different flavours.

As someone who read your post I was left with the impression that you were happy to give her "a good poke with a pair of spurs" if she played you up and also "a right good crack on the bum ". After all, that's just what you said in the OP! I was a little concerned that you then stated you sent her cantering off in the other direction. In my book that's teaching them to run away from whatever they were upset by and I prefer to educate rather than encourage them to run.

Putting your leg on with a pari of spurs and giving them a 'good poke' doesnt mean they were buried in her sides, I am sure the reaction i would have gotten had I dont that wopuld have been worse than a step forward, am i supposed to mince everything I say just so you dont miscontrue it I mean come on people??? I thought this want a fluffy forum lol :D

Oh and when since has making a horse go forward making them run away. She was rearing becasue I was turning her away from home/horse so yes I did make her go away and it was in the direction I chose. If shw ill not go forward in walk or trot then canter is the next step I am afraid. Oh and one good crack is better than belting them several times, I very rarely need to use two a racing whip makes on hell of a bang;)

I WILL NOT have my horses rearing on roads. If a car had came and she was on her hind legs then whos going to come off good in that scenario?? Not me her or the driver if they hit us.

why not comment on my thread if you have an opinion I mean thats what its for :D
