I do like the look of him! Unfortunately, I have vet bills to pay off before I can even start thinking about looking for another and even if money were no object, Dorset is a long way for me to go for a look.

If I'm reading it right he was semi broken in a previous home and this owner has done everything bar sit on him.

I'm a terrible cynic I know but I'm seeing 2 people tried to back him and failed.

A good buy for someone experienced in backing horses other people have failed with for sure but he wouldn't be for me (he is gorgeous though!).

It’s fairly obvious there are some significant issues there, but if someone out there has the time, skills, patience, money and space, then snap him up! Not least to save him from the meat man.

We've got quite a reasonably priced breaking and sales livery place locally. Owner is probably not paying far off the same livery price for assisted DIY (plus feed, hay and bedding) where he is currently. If I were her I'd have him over there and marketed as a freshly backed 4yr old in the new year. I think he would go quite quickly marketed properly and with a bit more education.
But yes I think possibly there could be an issue with a failed backing/breaking attempt or 2.

Oh if only I had the cash - I have room and Ideally wanted a 3yr old when looking at Robin.

I saw his ad the other day (possibly linked to in my thread, I can’t remember) and thought he looked a nice type but no way am I up to the job of bringing something on that potentially has failed backing twice and no doubt comes with the associated baggage of that. Could be a bargain for someone ballsier than me though!

Rereading today (more sober than yesterday!!)if I had the cash, the time, and could convince them to go down to 1.5k, I'd take a punt on him, turn him away until at least late summer 2022, lightly back and ride in walk all winter then bring on in 2023.

As it is I can't obviously but I really hope someone here does.

Can't see where he was marked as sold? If so, then definitely a suspect vet failure. She does look like a small time dealer though. It wouldn't worry me, I got Joe and Ludo off others and you get Sale of Goods Act protection.
Says sold in the comments on the FB post and supposedly collected a fortnight ago :/

You'd be a little bit suspicious that her long reining photos are from the spring-the trees are coming into leaf in the pics
