Needing to add a few bits at the start of the season, one of which is a couple of extra saddle pads, both for schooling and competing (couple of each, I mean)... I've been browsing and am getting a bit discouraged and confused - things seem to have changed a lot over the last couple of years
I have some Nuumed and LeMieux half-lined pads for competing, the LeMieux's were a pain for the binding shrinking in the wash but the Nuumed's have stayed nice
We also have some plain cotton diamond quilted pads which work well with a separate sheepskin half-pad, so that's all fine.
In addition to the above, we used to have a selection of white PolyPads which we use primarily for the jumping phases, they are easy to wash and even bleach, they stay put under the saddle etc. However, they have gradually disappeared over the years (got lost, stained, shrunk, thrown out because they were declared "unlucky"
) and need replacing. We also use similar pads at home in dark colours and these also need topping up. Last time I bought some I bought Horseware PolyPad lookee likees and these worked really well. However, I can't find them now. Plus PolyPads seem to have got very complicated and very expensive, and what on earth are these Anky Pads that everyone is on about and are they actually any good?? I didn't think much of the 2012 SS colours but the plain ones didn't look to be shaped in the same way as the seasonal ones (in the dressage deluxe photos anyway...)
