We're getting absolutely battered here. The lights have flickered a couple of times, so I've got all my candles together and charged my phone, just in case the power goes off.

Something just crashed in to the front window, too scared to go out and see what it was.

The cat is very cross and telling us off for not turning the weather off!

My partner has had to head out as the ponies have broken the electric fence. They had ad lib hay but the bit theyve broken into is not secure for the oldie and young 'un so theyre getting moved to the adjoining other field.
Very windy here but hes taking it slowly.

Lights and electric ok for the moment.

Stay safe everyone.

Well we got wet but not soaked doing the horses at 7.00 pm. It's not that bad here, windy but nothing out of the ordinary. I'm glad the wind has swung back to the west though. The horses will be fine eating hay in the shelter. When the wind was coming from the east earlier, we thought we might have to.put rugs on. I'm surprised to see that posters quite near here have worse weather, as we are so high up.

Also in West Wales not really as bad as we expected so far a bit blustery put the rain is fine and blowing straight in your face at least the rain isn't as heavy as we have had when it was biblical a week or so ago like Noah's flood!!!
Took the dogs down to the indoor sand school to place chase it's floodlit so ideal for exercising dogs on dark wet windy evenings.

We're at an elevation of 370m so it gets pretty wild up here. Its all farmland around so no trees to act as a windbreak.

I have attempted to plant trees to provide a windbreak with a 0% success rate so far.

Drove under two trees leaning at 45deg over the flipping road on the way to the yard. Felt like final destination but every one else was just driving under them so I got peer pressured into it 😭 went home another way and thankfully all trees were either vertical or horizontal and could be driven around.

Horses are in and grumpy. Mine and another mare are sniping at eachother through bars and I got a meltdown message from the other owner about immediately moving Sadie to another stable, which I was happy to do! Hers has a suspensory injury and I dont care where my horse is. I had bed lifted ready to go when I realised she hadn't spoken to the bloody yard owner about it! Who was at work! YO reply to go ahead didn't get to me in time. So now she is upset with me, YO will be annoyed, I've just stress eaten a packet of biscuits and its all Amy's fault!!

It’s wild here.
I think we will lose a panel on one of our storage sheds at the farm. It was flapping away this evening rather violently (no risk of anyone being injured if it goes)

Frustratingly the girls had ran around like idiots today in the field and Meg’s stifle was starting to stick when she was coming in.
I have a feeling she’ll be needing the surgery before the year is out.

Horse & dogless at present so living vicariously through the forum to get my equine/canine fix! Windy & wet but not ridiculous here in South lincs. Supposed to be worse tomorrow. I WFH anyway so didn't need to go out & the cat has activated 'winter cat mode ' early & has alternated between sprawling on top of the radiator or flopped on the sofa.

Suspect cat/human duvet day will be adopted tomorrow! Stay safe out there folks!

Very loud & gusty where I am in north Surrey and horizontal rain hitting the windows. Horse is in.Looking forward to my camera being up - perfect stablecam weather!

Wind strong, but rain passed through.

Drive to the city at 5pm was a bit hairy, but not long back and the skies are very clear.
Lots of debris on the roads.

Had a leak in the kitchen from the way the rain was blowing earlier.

Ponies happily tucked up in their shed, where it's always peaceful.

NE Scotland.

We had it start around lunchtime for here in west Ireland.
I was apprehensive but the worst 90kmph winds only lasted a couple of hours, and soon died off, so overall was thankful.
We’re at elevation in the middle of one of Ireland largest spruce tree plantations, so millions of trees swooshing like crazy make it sound worse than it is. But they’re fabulous wind breaks, luckily far enough away from the buildings.

My 2 horses were kept near us in the dry turnout yard. It amazes me how they wander around out there chilled-out, while the trees swoosh and sway and tarps flap like crazy. So much storm experience here has made them very wind-proof. I looked out the window while one massive swirling gust hit us and saw my mare stoic facing it head-on as if she was rehearsing for a Timotei advert!
Nb- They have free choice access to a large bedded barn that’s lovely and calm in there during storms, but instead prefer to be out.

The barrow has filled up with water within 12 hrs, it’s caused some flooding.
