Sunny weekend plans!

We had Sandringham CAI 2* :) Trot up he ‘enjoyed’, dressage we managed a 60 which is about 61%. Doesn’t sound great but it’s a tough test and that’s better than we’ve done previously at national/international level. Day off Friday, XC Saturday. Nice section A and transfer section coming to the halt with a heart rate of 56 then 48 after some rest. Into the XC proper and after the second we were warned about a loose horse on course then we were held after the 3rd. Found a bit of shade under a tree (2.30pm Saturday- 30*C!) and waited. Luckily we were brought water but after an hour waiting on course we were sent back to the boxes to hear what was going on from 5pm when the day was called off. 8am Saturday we restarted the marathon with 4km and 5 obstacles left to go which was very strange. Also limited our cones concentration which we had at lunch time. I got 3 down and we took all the long routes so a little time too. Finished 8th so not a disgrace but plenty to work on! Pictures thanks to LizzieJ- none from Sunday as we were all flagging by then and limited from trot up as they were trying to decide if they’d need to catch him 😂
