I used to jump quite a lot! Bought Darcy to do a bit more jumping if anything as I had been loaning a 26 year old cob just to have some hacking fun on

I've not jumped properly for about 4 years so it's a bit hit and miss so trying to get my position sorted on the flat / over poles this winter before we start taking off

Im just planning to do a little bit of everything with him, not in any rush to get anywhere fast so it'll come when its ready

I'd rather go out to different places to hack, do sponsored rides with the odd log , BEACH type person

Stressage is just something we do for a bit of a 'competitive,' edge. I'll never jump competitivley (Sp!) as soooo many people turn up!

Just got back from work, rushed home to see our guests and was looking forward to socialising (sp?) with a few drinks only to find the house completely empty

They have all buggered off out for the night

DL - I know this may sound odd but have you considered going and having a couple of lessons on a sj schoolmaster somewhere before you start jumping Darcy?

That way you get your position sorted without worrying about what the ned is doing. Then you will surprise Darcy when you hop on board!!

There's so many equestrian centres etc around here that I can give a go plus quite a few people have said "Oh well feel free to have a practise/ lesson on such and such," so i'm all set

Evening everyone.

Just been catching up on everything that's been going on today. Had a short ride but I really felt like we'd both worked. I've been told I'm too tense so I worked on relaxing, and worked on getting Belle to lower her head. She did only a tiny bit but as she's 20 I don't think it comes easily to her and I'll keep at it, can't expect her to get it after 2 sessions after all.

I desperately need a cuppa - it's freezing in my house and I'm wrapped up in a fleece throw an duvet but still chilled to the bone!

Slinks - Spoke to DH today (returns lady hasn't been in all week) and they don't have any more boots in stock and won't get any till next year

They said if I get them repaired they will cover the costs so I need to take them to get fixed.

ive just been told that someone has taken my stable at college, a stable that Teddy was allocated for very particular and important reasons...reasons that affect is welfare!!. not ONLY that there isnt a stable for me on that yard anymore AT ALL AND the biggest joke.....ive been paying for that f**king stable the whole time neither i nor Teddy have been there and someone else is using it!!!!!!
