I got woken up by my sons alarm clock!!!! And the best bit is, after growling at him, he has gone back to sleep, so just for fun I'm gonna leave him there and watch the mad dash to get ready for sixth form - Evil mother, rather disgruntled at being woken up so early!!!!
Blurghhhh, Monday. Already at my desk with a cuppa, daydreaming about my riding lesson yesterday when I rode the nicest geegee at the stables Beautiful sunny, crisp morning here!
It's cold here but not bad, sun looks like it's trying to come out. It's my Monday in work today so I'm not best pleased, it was lush and quiet at the yard this morning, would have been perfect for a ride out. Oh well, will have to wait until the weekend now instead.
Someone at work has just come back from Turkey and said it was lovely and hot all the time, I'm so jealous. I feel sun deprived! Boo!
A cold sharp morning but at least the sun is shining
Off to the yard soon to sort the horses out and then back home for a cuppa and housework.
After that I have to start researching for my assignment booo hissss.
but have finally shifted my headache so it was worth it!! Its a beautiful day here
- blue sky, sun and no wind!! Have taken the neds rugs off and I'm thinking when it has warmed up a bit more I will ride and then bath them properly before turning out again!
Plenty of time bfore then though so another cuppa methinks!!
As for being up North - get your A levels and you will be! I never really went home again after I went to Uni - just for holidays really!
I know someone whose daughter went to Durham in the last couple of years and they have a great horse riding club/team with some really nice horses! So get your books out and start revising!!
Well today is a beautiful day out, sunny and dry, just the way I like it
. Today is filled with tidying the whole house, listing unwanted stuff on ebay, trying to get information out of my solicitor and trying to get a reply from a transportation service in the East midlands, so, so far I'm stressed with getting no replies from the solicitor or EM transportation service
On a good note though I just bought some cordless clippers for Jack in spring, when his belly is still a wooly mammoth
Just need to get Rosie's measurements (when I collect her) to get her a custom travelling rug
Lovely sunny day here but it is still a bit chilly.
The good news is I took some nightnurse last night to try and help me sleep, fell asleep before 10pm and slept right through (apart from when the cat sat on my head
)
Bad new is I also slept right through my Alarm....oopps
Nightnurse is goooood stuff
In work at the moment but will be going up to ride later on.
Woooohooooooo things are getting better!!! AS you all know I've only just moved house, well what a night mare it has been...... and its one of those houses that you have to live in to notice the things wrong!!! Well by Saturday I'd had enough and I ended up in tears on the phone to the agents telling them I want releasing from the tenancy NOW...... Phone rings this morning and its the agents to say the landlord will release me so I can now house hunt through them again and move asap!!! I know a few weeks ago I really didn't want to move and was so unmotivated with the packing, but this time I'll be more than happy to pack!!! Yeah its a pain in the arse, but its better than living in a horrible house which really needs gutting and starting again!
So I am happy!!!!!
I had a wonderful weekend with my boy! We did our first Bloodhound exercise with Farmers Bloodhounds! I hadn't jumped for nearly 10 years and I was a complete nervous wreck beforehand but once we had our first couple of jumps out of the way I had so much more confidence and we jumped everything! One of the larger fence's I am told was 4ft and I don't think I have ever jumped that high even when I was young and ambitious! My boy was a absolute star and looked after me. We were very tired and wet through when we got back but I couldn't stop smiling. Beep was such a star and didn't think twice about jumping anything, even though he is only 7yrs old he has a couple of seasons hunting under his belt and he really took care of me, I'm so proud of my boy! I've only had him a month and my confidence has improved in leaps and bounds, I think I have finally found my horse of a life time!
This morning though I woke up feeling like I had pulled every muscle in my body and I'm walking a bit like a cowboy! But I'm still smiling, I think I have caught the hunting bug!
Hope everyone is healthy and happy and having a good day! Kxxx
Glad to hear you enjoyed your hunting experience Bits_N_Pieces, I have yet to pluck up the courage to go with mine, think I'll watch on foot first (and then probs decide it's too much for us
).
Flibble, it's no use trying to stop it now, go with it and before you know it'll be matching rugs, boots etc. Happened to me too
Its tough going from 14 years of owning the perfect horse to a new boy I have had him over a year now and have lain in bed crying on bad days wanting my old boy back but he'll never be sound enough again.
Suddenly Dribbel is growing on me and provided he doesnt rear again (once only and that was enough) or bolt and buck me off I will be happy.
Aw that's good that you're getting on with your new boy. I thought I'd never get over my last horse but now I love my mare Belle. I've only had her a year too and she's such a challenge compared to my last horse, totally different kettle of fish. Maggie will always be in my heart but she's gone now. She's been gone a good four years but I've only just started replacing her pictures with ones of Belle. The ones I have of Maggie are going up at home whereas the ones of Belle are taking Maggie's place at my desk.
It took me a good two years to get to know Archie really well, also had my old boy 14 years since we were both 13, and another 18 months to really get the best out of him - we were comnig along really well and then he goes and gets navicular. so now might be having to get to know another one.
