Evening all! I've been told I have to decide on a numnah or some back/fetlock boots for my birthday.. and I'm finding it to be a tough choice..

Rode the pony today and I'm really looking forward to trying the new saddle.. really didn't like the way the wintec sat on him today but he was so good to put up with it! Other pony needs to come in for a pamper.. saw the length of her mane today (I'm hoping its just having a straight day today rather than actually being that long!

And however long her mane is it won't be a long as the cobs!!

I'm not allowed anything too expensive, was either going to just get a nice one or one of those nagrag named ones.. just to have something a bit different. Fetlock boots I don't mind, I was going to buy the allsport boots for his fronts anyway since they do jumping and cross country. I don't know if I like the allsport in black though (since he has white legs, I wasn't sure to go for white or not)

I've never got cramp all through my plaiting last year, I do love tails more though as I hate having to make the plaits evens. Tails you just get on with

Has Darcy got a thick, thin or normal mane and how long is his neck?

Thin mane, loooong neck. I usually get about 11-13 plaits

Which for someone who struggles with one, seems like a lot!

P_P - have a look at these saddlecloths - i have them and they are lovely - wash really well etc and do loads of lovely colours

They do dressage and GP cut - I have both (spoilt brat!!

) and will be getting more am so pleased with them - the fleece lining is lovely.

Ooooh those saddle cloths look loveerrly! I have the normal HKM ones, didn't realise they did fleecy lined ones. Might have to 'invest' in one

I like the le Meiux and the HKM ones, they are lovely. P_P has a gorgeous sheepskin numnah, but it always seems too thick to put under her saddle, so maybe the HKM ones would be better, or a half pad le meiux

GP probably since I'll be doing both I need to check if the saddle f_s got fits first

I hope so as I really want to get going!
The problem with the wintec I'm using is its stiff on the shoulders and just keeps slipping down but if I go up a tree it will squeeze his shoulders till they pop!

Why don't they have respect for other peoples belongings, I swore them out the door.
Just have left the ones that are kipping the night so all nice and peacefull now but daughter hates me

Did you have to come over all heavy and Stroppy Old Woman??

Those HKM ones are fab - they are a bit thicker than just their saddlecloths but not enough to effect saddle fit. The fleecy lining is fab as they don't get to hot with it even in the summer and the best bit is they all come with matching or contrasting trim - some have gold and silver in!! Lots of choices!! Some of them have balck fleec lining which is also good as it hides the dirt so they don't look as scruffy so quickly.

Know the feeling DL but its what we only have at the moment, only other option is my other ponies leather saddle, which I dont think will fit at all because she is just a table cross something weird.. hehe

But we did win one on ebay the other night so fingers crossed!
