Dull and drizzly here, but think the sun has just poked it's head out for a few seconds!!

Waiting to hear from the saddler, and hoping today will be calmer than the last few

Am feeling a bit better today and have just been out to do the neds ands its a lovely morning with blue sky and sunshine!

Morning all, it,s wet, dry, wet, dry the weather really does not know what to do. Although i can see a bit of blue in the sky so not all bad.
I have finished directing my husband decorating the kitchen and think i have done a good job. When i came home from work he had scrubbed the cooker and fridge and washed and rehung the net curtain!!!
He did say a womans work is never done when i pointed out he had missed a bit.

Morning and the sun has got his hat on today in Pontecarlo.

So far I have bumbed my car into a wall while parking it (still half asleep, god knows how managed the motorway lol) been annoyed by the annoying work collegue who constantly asks me inappropriate questions

and now wishing I'd had a duvet day (aka thrown a sicky) and played with the horses all day

Have had the same headache this morning but Ibuprofren has kicked in nice and fast. Mucked out , did my poo picking, tidied my rugs and did all my other jobs and booked the school for later, so I'm all set

Morning. It's pretty dull and cold here. Stable chores all done, haynets up, water in etc. All I have t do tonight is bring her in and feed her, again. Apparently the school is getting re-done which will be brill cos then I'll be able to ride after work without drowning in mud and sand. I haven't ridden at all this week and I'm feeling incredibly guilty. But I can't tonight as we have OH's family coming over. Never mind, definitely going out at weekend

I'm schooling Darcy later, will have to ride up there in the dark as Im off to the cinema but the lights can go on and I'll have my little head light

I can almost tell what route we'll be going down when I ask him to trot though

well, morning all... i've awoken with a stinking headache/sinus ache... and was about to wolf down some sudafed when i remembered i'm not allowed to take them whilst breastfeeding. nightmare. so, two puny paracetamol later and i'm still feeling cruddy.

me and toddler gave horses their breakfast whilst i squinted at the bright bright sunlight, and let them out. i'm going to leave mucking out until my head is better (or OH is home to do it for me).

i'm starting to like my new house. i haven't seen a spider for a couple of days, which helps. and as the winter creeps up, it's starting to feel nice and cosy.
grumpy teenage child is settling in at school which is great as he's less grumpy now.
toddler LOVES it here. he's such an outdoors boy, and spends almost all day in his wellies outside.
and, my little newborn is now a month old, and we're all still madly in love with her. it's bizarre how babies do that to you. when, let's face it, they're a bit scrunchy and ugly, they poo far too much and aren't great conversation...

right, i'm off to cuddle the small people and feel sorry for myself. and wait for the stupid paracetamol to kick in...

I have to ride up/ from the school in the dark throughout winter. Its a simple track that passes one school that's always lit so that provides me with a bit of light for the first 2 minutes of the ride, and then the rest is a simple un-used road and hill up towards the other school which is often on. Plus the farm is very open so any moonlight really has a huge impact! It's so peaceful, I absolutely love it!!!

Just a shame the school thats 2 minutes away from my yard is often under about 3 inches of water, is totally uneven and has membrane up all over it

3 horses have fallen flat on their faces in it - Darcy being one of them

I love the dark CCP, but I'm a bit strange!!

Not in a town or city though, just out in the countryside with nothing around, it's fab!! People keep asking me, aren't you scared? What of? Foxes, badgers, owls, mice, rats, deer, ....horses???

Most of those would run a mile is they heard me, and the horses...well, they'd mow me down for food!!!

Morning, having a working from home day (read: spending too much time on HHO) cosily wrapped up in fleece and tracky bottoms. Finally succumbed to putting middleweights on horses this morning - both looked fed up and felt cold as the weather was really quite bitter and damp and windy.

Did have a conference call at 8am for work so am going to have a cup of tea and a biccy and search around for snuggy turnout hood as realised my grey mare looks a very strange skewbald (brown neck and white body!)

Well I am an auntie.

My sister had a little girl, Isobel (not sure of spelling yet!), last night 3lbs12oz. Had a phonecall from my dad at 11.50 so was half asleep and only took some of it in but none of the problems they anticipated have materialised, it seems that she is just very small for no particular reason. She isn't in an incubator or anything and was doing well last night, haven't had any updates this morning. Waiting to hear about when they're coming home etc I imagine it will be a day or as she is so small. Typical that I'm working late tonight so won't be able to go to the hospital to visit.

Hope everybody else is feeling better soon. Two lots of good news in two days now, feel very lucky.

Hi f_s_ ******waving****** I've read your posts and not realised that we were fellow countrymen. I too ride in the dark, tho it's because (bizarrely) our sand school light points up! Good for low flying aircraft, bad for riding. We're made of stern stuff!!

There is a patch of my carpet that is much cleaner then the rest - due to my dogs managing to knock over at least one mug of mine everyday for the last 3 days!!

I wasn't sure if I was going to kill them both!! There I was feeling very poorly and just made myself a nice hot drink for one of them to knock it over. Grrrrrrrr

.........I wouldn't mind but it where I always put my mug and they have never knocked it over before!
