SWEET FA.....Tuesday

He's training me well! It's really uncomfortable at first because my old habit of gripping with my knee because of the lack of knee rolls doesn't really work on the Keiffer

But, I'm putting it down to the fact that it has to feel a bit wrong to feel right! I had so many bad habits in the Wintec it was untrue so s'all good. The seats a bit slippery though!

Had a day of sorting stuff at the yard. When will it all be done?! The YO, who is very nice, wanted the feed bins moved, so trying to life those was fun. Had some help up the steps, but then getting them across and up the steps at the other side was ouchy and kn*ckering. Dizz and LL have changed stables, and LL will be moving again at the weekend into the barn with the rest of the Gang. Nice YO has let us use LL's 'old' stable as a storge room
smile.gif
. Great fun sweeping out and then moving the rubber mats out lol. I hate rubber mats!

On the plus side, I did actually manage to lunge the Dizzy one!

In a proper school

Well folks a slight change to my plans for this evening. I'm still playing darts but not walking there after all. Mate has decided the battery on her car could do with a bit of a charge so we are driving
tongue.gif

Did I hear someone mention chocolate pudding? I have a spoon if I've time to grab a quick mouthful?

Evening all - how are we? I have no exciting news - just about to settle down to do essay for the night! Have had 2 horse free days and starting to miss the girls!

lol, I think she was in shock
grin.gif
. Motorbiked round me, but as it was a chill out session and I didn't have very long, it was fine
grin.gif
. Was just so amazing to have a bit of time with her. The move took the entire weekend, of which I was ill all of Saturday - I have to take my hat off to Friend for driving the lorry! Usually I do the driving and she falls asleep and we're both happy lol, but she stepped up and did it, through some tight gaps as well. Flipping good job
grin.gif
.

Dizz is also less stressed in her new 'new' stable
grin.gif
. Still weaves when she sees me, but I think that's because 'I' equal food/field/out and about: I'm working on de-sensitizing her so she can see me without thinking I'm going To Do Something With/For Her
cool.gif
.

I have to say that all the horses seem to have settled well, and the YO and her daughter could not have been more welcoming and accommodating
grin.gif
.

Chocolate pudding EM2? I'm up for some of that

Eidted 'cos I'm an illiterate plank

no more selling heating oil for me in 2 weeks - whoop! Just diesel.... fun fun fun!

Anyway, Ted was absolutely awesome! I wrapped a pole in tin foil and turned the floodlights on full power! When Ted first came into the school he was snorting and arching his neck... however after doing some ground exercises with him he soon settled and I could unclip him and he would follow me around everywhere...

... we slowly edged closer and closer to the pole but each time he would be on the opposite side of me. eventually we were circling around the pole, edging closer and closer until he was comfortable! I then walked upto it and asked him to stand infront of the pole and touch it with his nose - he did! When I asked him to walk over it for the first time, he jumped about 3 foot in the air! But we continued until he was confident, and then I lunged him over it and he thought it was a great game

grin.gif
. There are a lot of possibilities and lots of potential... basically if we don't get somewhere now, then we're never going to and we'll move to a field

Thanks Slinky! And thanks Pixxie...
grin.gif
we'll see if it's made a difference when I ride him tomorrow over poles with the floodlights on - usually we have to spend half an hour walking over them to get him accustomed!

I had a small argument with Darcy over some poles yesterday. Never did get him over them!
grin.gif
But then again I wasn't really telling him to that much, I gave up easily
