THAT french 'trainer'

The boss horse moves the other horses' feet. You have to be the boss. She was moving the horses feet. Kicking like that may have been a bit crude but horses do much worse to each other. etc. etc.

This is shocking what is being done about this women.

LOVE MY trainer all she ever says is soft soft, lighten the rein, don't take the inside rein.

I think what horses do to each other is their own private business... Not sure we should be confusing matters :D

Well done Epona for posting this, and having the wit to save the video.

Disgusting display of ignorance and bullying to compensate for her serious lack of horsemanship.

Just disgusted by it, there is no earthly reason why anyone should treat an animal in that way. Am shocked. Humans are supposed to be empathic, intelligent beings - what the hell was this one on? How are the others standing around allowing her to do that anyway? There are no words.

I agree with you about the feet thing, but as for the rest of your post I hope you are joking? This is not horsemanship, it is ego.

So we should all kick the in the stomach to get results :mad:

Anyone tries that with my horse they would be getting the same back....

There are NO EXCUSES for this!!!! NH or otherwise

You see, I get what you're saying there and I had some groundwork training with my youngster by a lady who is sort of NH but takes on board a lot of different approaches to NH style training. What SHE did made sense and although firm with my horse - we just asked him to move fowards, stand etc etc. He never ONCE looked worried or scared or flung his head up like that horse in the video.

The horse there looked perfectly calm BEFORE she got at it. It stood whilst she was a distance from it head and yes, IF the horse had tried to walk towards her/through her then the 'tug' 'tug' type action would be what you can do. However, she seemed to provoke the horse in to doing something and was flinging the rope near its head for no apparent reason and then gets quite aggressive with what she does with the headcollar to the point she has scared the horse and it egts obviously head shy. This is NOT what should happen at all. i have no idea why she was insisting on hauling it round in a circle and, quite evidently the horse had no clue either! As for kicking it for no reason - I have no words.

Yes, horse DO treat each others quite harshly sometimes but generally the dominant horse in that situation doesn't have hold of the other one by a short rope so it can't get out of the way!!!

lol has nobody ever read any of FBurton's other posts? :D

I think you'll find he's being ironic ;)

However, he does make a very good point. If it's OK enough to use "horse" language with your horse to the extent of thinking moving their feet around makes you the "boss", why not, as a logical extension, kick them, since other horses do this too?

Discuss :D

I'd thought the "etc. etc." would be sufficient of a clue to indicate I was being ironic, and that I don't believe such nonsense. But no... I'm either drunk or an idiot. In any case, I apologize for being misunderstood.

'Etc etc' isn't ironic in any way or sarcasm or indication that we should read anything into your post other than what is stated. Clearly your words meant something entirely different to you.
