Pictures The Adventures of Cousin It!

Designer made please darling! 🤣. Find a local traditional saddler … as in does their own leatherwork… and off you go! Nothing less for Cousin It! Am a fully paid up member of his fan club and even looked online for mares for sale when you let slip he still has his 🏉🏉! !

Luckily I'm in a part of the world that has several good saddlers, but I'm holding off on his full bespoke wardrobe until his 4th birthday when I'm fairly sure he's finished expanding.
I've already found a harness maker that will come out to measure him in person 🙈

And the 4th birthday is the deadline for the 🥜✂️ too! If he shows well and behaves himself I've promised him he can keep them!
I'm being very boring and sensible....but eeeek wouldn't the foals be cute! 😂

@P.forpony these chapels did Shetland sized head collars that fit my standards v well with space to go smaller. If you get in touch with them to ask which is their smallest they are v helpful

Standard shetland is definitely mahoosive on him 🙈
But good to know they go smaller and those are smart, thank you 😊

We had a friendly fox take my gardening gloves and garden clogs left outside the front door overnight! Found one clog 50 metres away on the road 😂 i never knew they had such an interest in non-nature items!
Sorry to hear you’ve lost decent headcollars.

This fox followed me around the farm on a couple of occasions, and even so playful to play with and bite at my boot laces! We then played a game of search for a mouse under plastic weed suppressant fabric…jumping on target like an arctic fox sensing a mouse under snow!
He/she was really playful and totally unafraid…even playing hide n seek with our cat too 😁

I have a bit of a love hate relationship with foxes. I think they're beautiful creatures and funny and silly and full of character.
I just wish they would direct their murderous tendancies towards bunnies that make holes in the paddocks rather than chickens and headcollars 🙈

Yours sounds like an amazing interaction though, that's a bit special 🥰

Sorry to hear you've been having a tough time.
Glad a little sprinkle of Cousin It magic has raised a smile though 🥰

For anyone having a bad day, just be glad you don't have to tell a shetland that you do indeed draw the line somewhere!
He's definitely not allowed on the sofa... 😖

And I thought it was bad enough when the dog kicks all the cushions off the sofa 🤣

Thwarted and forlorn!
(Possibly also plotting revenge)

The conundrum of having 3 thoroughbreds and a Cousin It in the same paddock in autumn.
There's plenty of grass but obviously it's not as good as it was, and a bit colder so the bigguns are all dropping off, pleading starvation and begging for hay.
Cousin It definitely does not require hay!

Soloution...small bale in 2 sections of a tombstone feeder, he can reach the top but not down inside to get the hay!

You lot are a terrible influence...
(Keep it up! 😂)

I spent far too much time last night looking at Lady It's for sale! 😳

I do, in fact, have two Lady Its, one is far too old however and the other far to feral 😭 They are also both large standard shetlands so he might need a little platform to help him on his way 🤭
