There's a bloke here that does loads with a Shetland for charity.
Some of his videos make me wince a bit ...latest one he's trying to say his pony is having zoomies when in reality it's being chased by a dog.
He's also had books published


Anyway your find him in Facebook under Patrick the pony if your wanting ideas in what to do for a day out.
 
Just to share the anticipation....
For context I'm not really a big Xmas person. I'm not a scrooge but definitely not one who goes all out with decorations etc.

However!

I mentioned to someone a little while ago that it would be amusing to do a little Christmas drive around the village maybe give Cousin It a red nose and some antlers etc.

The more I thought about it the more I got carried away 🙈
So currently his cart is halfway through being wrapped in battery powered Xmas lights, I have ordered 20m of tinsel and 150 jingle bells and just have to work out how to attach antlers to his head piece!

I may be turning into a Christmas person 🤣

Oh I am so looking forward to seeing this with loads of pics and videos 😁 I attached a human headband with the felt antlers onto my mini a few years ago maybe you can attach a headpiece to his headcollar so it stays on for the trips out 😊
 
Apologies for the recent absence of Cousin It, I've had a long awaited but somehow still short notice hospital trip for a bit of slicing and dicing. Unhelpfully coinciding with a visit from overseas family...
But!
Adventures were still squeezed in 😁 with much glee, and for the benefit and enjoyment of my favorite tiny human who is delighted with 'her pony!' 🥰

Only to exceed all of my high expectations, stepping out foot perfect and beautifully behaved.
He was entrusted with the most precious cargo, and gave everyone smiles, giggles and fun as we jingled along 🥰

I feel extraordinarily lucky to own such a fabulous, kind and honest little pony ❤️

Merry Christmas to all, and fear not, the bells will definitely be used again! 😁

Oh P4P, what a wonderful Christmas present for us all! He looks fantastic. Any time I want to have a smile over Christmas with the family waxing feral around me, I shall turn on my Cousin It adventures. Perfect escapism!
 
After a very dull and boring surgery recovery only enlivened by various complications, I am very pleased to announce that today we finally resumed adventures 😁

Cousin It had his first trip to the seaside!
In classic British tradition it was 2 degrees with a biting wind and I discovered my waterproof long yard boots have given up their primary function and are now very soggy boots instead 🙈

It was the first time I'd ventured out to Holkham but I'd like to take big brother there for a beach ride so though it would be a good way to check it out and have some fun with the wee man.

I felt slightly fraudulent parking in the horsebox area, then had a moments pause, there was a fork in the path.
One side said, bridleway no pedestrians permitted!
The other side said, no horses past this point!

While I tried to decide which one to disobey, Cousin It engaged with several slightly bemused dog walkers and I discovered he was feeling a wee bit fresh and rather uncharacteristically Colty 😳
The sea breeze must have given him some vigour!
That or he thought it the appropriate setting for his best baby shark impression 🙈
I managed to ensure all children left with the correct number of fingers still attached and was helpfully instructed by someone from the visitor centre to go which ever way I pleased because he doesn't really count as a horse 🤣
I was amused...
Not sure Cousin It appreciated it!

All in all he was rather perplexed by such a vast open space, especially one with not a snack in sight. He had an experimental crunch on a seashell but wasn't impressed.

Soft sand was fun for digging and rolling.
Waves are terrifying and produced airs above the ground and a very embarrassing series of squeals that had everyone within half a mile looking around to see who was torturing a piglet 😳
He then recovered his dignity a bit and managed to manfully dip a quivering toe.

Next time I will also remember he is a novelty in public places, and make sure I allocate 3 hours of time to complete a 1 hour walk, rather than legging it back up the boardwalk at a brisk trot sounding like castanets crossed with artillery fire to make sure we didn't get locked in the car park overnight!

Yay Cousin It at the beach adventure! He looks like he’s scouring the landscape for just a morsel of grub and forlorn there’s sand for miles and miles..😂

This thread makes me broody for a mini….gotta control myself! He’s so lovely…thanks for sharing 😍

Control is unnecessary, leap over to the dark and fluffy side with gleeful abandon.
We have fun ponies here 😁

Just get a mare please so we can plan the offspring 😉

I shall have to plan a meet and greet for him someday!

I'm all well now thanks, just annoyingly feeble from the enforced inactivity, so lots of adventures needed now to get me back up to speed 😊

I think Thetford forest next weekend, on foot to check out future driving routes 🤞
 
So glad you are on the mend from your surgery. Love CousinIt at the seaside, did he find any seaweed to sample? You’ll be swimming with him next……..
