Just passing through...
Very quickly as another dealine looms and I cannot miss it...
Dizzy, whilst not out of the woods yet, is not at death's door
(x millions). She very unlikely to be a BSJA horse, and probably not a BE (the reasons she was bred and the reasons I bought her, hm), but, there is a chance she will 'do something'!!!!! I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy
My insides are all smiley and bouncy
. We still have to do further investigation, and she still has damage to the rear suspensory ligaments (mild), and there are still issues, but so long as my girly can get out and about she will be happy, so I will be happy (and have to go buy another horse to BSJA....!!).
Yesterday, after shall we say a long and heated discussion with the vet, we got to the nub of the issues and were able to make up and plan our way forward
(sorry, can't stop grinning). Now I know as much as the vets know in so far as I need to, if that makes sense. So, she's on box rest this week and on Bute twice a day; Lizzie vet will assess tomorrow and baseline, then probably again on Monday. On Monday I ride her for ten minutes (walk), out with friend on Big Cob - I'll be wearing enough padding that if I fall over I'll just roll lol, becuase the really good bit is, Dizzy is back to being a stress head
She's moving round her box so much better and so much freer in her back end/hind legs(!). I had a really good work out mucking out this morning lol
Yesterday I found out about Diz; my sister passed the first of her solicitors course exam; and I got a tax return! I was in shock, in a really nice way.
I know I'm not goign ot get my dream of BSJA with the Diz, and that is sad, but compared to where I thought we were going, it's something that I'll deal with
Sorry, that was longer than aniticpated! I have loads of people to pm as the support has been incredible
So many humongous hugs, C.x (who is well over twenty-five, but who today feels like a child at Christmas)
