I had sometimes thought that if it weren't for the white bits and being an arsehole I would enter the large dog in a local open show just the once for shits and giggles, reading that I realise I would be embarassing us both. 😅

My favourite critique (very effusive all rounder) and my most valuable critique (highly regarded breed specialist) are two very different things.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for dog shampoo? We’ve run out of what I had and I wasn’t massively impressed with it.

Also something to make it easier to remove burrs? I’ve used NAF natural mane and tail but it’s a bit sh1t- I’m guessing the lack of silicone makes it worse than the non natural ones?

Chris Christensen is all we use. Day to Day or White on White. For detangling and brushing I like Nature's Specialties Quicker Slicker spray (also works for drying/blasting)

Resurrecting the thread as I’ve actually been to some shows for once. Not much to report from South Wales (3rd in limit) except for a nice 2nd place in stakes, of 21 dogs present. It paid for my bacon butty 🥓

2nd in limit at breed club championship show this weekend, beaten by the RCC winner so I’ll take it.

LKA next, still chasing that elusive special beginner group 1. The group judge, stakes judge and breed judge have previously given him group 2, group 2 and group 4 respectively. I want the full set 😂

Our next show is LKA, we both needed a break post Darlington so been focusing on fun sport things.

Learning my lesson this time and entering special beginners so I come 2nd to someone else other than his brother 🤣

Well done!!

I must enter LKA. Not sure what I enter now she has won a CC and had a studbook number? The dog fraternity scare me a bit so I don’t want to get it wrong 🙈🤣

She's still eligible for Limit until she is either made up to Ch or has 7 wins at in Limit/Open. What age is she now? Can she still squeak into Junior?

I don't think we are out again until Crufts. He went BOB at Belfast and picked up 3 CACIBs (awards towards his International Ch title) this year from only 5 shows, he needed the year to mature for sure he's really bodied up.
