This Belgian grey looks like he's tiring and getting strong because of it.

There are differences in how you are viewing, switch between the same channel via cable/satellite and TV from an aerial to see this.

There is also a few seconds delay with how satellites transmit from the event, it takes time for the signal to go up and come down. Watch the news and you can see how they allow for this when speaking.

My job is with software that manages broadcast transmission.

However I think there is also the deliberate delay I mentioned before to edit out accidents if needed

I don't think I've ever heard quite that much cheering at any cross-country event, ever! Those horses don't seem phased at all.
