The hay-hutch is a great idea to save waste of hay... Any body have one of theses??

I have one and it doesn't work when you have a dominant feeder who won't let the others near the thing! I find tractor tyres work just as well and are a lot cheaper - free, in fact.
Ooh! What an interesting idea. I happen to have a tractor tyre just lying in the hedge... only one though unfortunately.
I can't see how the horse can get all the hay out of it? Surely there will always be some left in the bottom
The bottom of it quickly fills with seeds and chaffy bits and the good hay sits on top. Believe me mine get every scrap.
They do not blow around due to the wide base and the fact that they are quite heavy.
I am not on commission and have no axe to grindbut would honestly say they are brilliant and I love mine. My friend feeds her 2 the same amount of hay loose on the ground and it takes my 2 much much longer to eat theirs so it last well too.

Do they not roll/blow around?
Oh no dont like them at all, the holes dont look big enough for their heads to gets into. Knowing my lot i would have three horses with scars all over the faces. I think the ideas people have used on here are much better than these and i bet alot cheaper !!
