Tomorrow is new friend day!

She's such a beauty, and she looks so regal, born to lie and look out over her kingdom.

But are you sure she's not choosing to lie next to the face of the slightly cat allergic person, because she's trying to slowly suffocate him, so that she can get 100% of your attention?
I wish that was the case! But she gives me that disgusted up and down look sometimes when I try and interact with her, and I just know she would roll her eyes at me if she could!! 🥲

;) Sounds like a good reason to get a second cat!

Though worst case scenario, they'll both end up adoring your OH. But isn't there some that say that it's more likely that a male cat will choose a woman as "their" person, and a female cat a man? Maybe you could increase the odds in your favour by getting a castrated male cat. Or two. (Castrated so he/they won't think more about wanting to populate the neighbourhood with more cats, than about you.)
The above is mostly a joke suggestion, but if you do want more cats one day, then my cat allergic Brother-in-law tolerated my 2 now late purebred cats (a Persian, and a Cornish Rex), much better than my moggies, so perhaps that's something worth considering.

I’d love another! But had better not as our place is not big enough really. Interestingly my fiancé has built a sort of immunity to the cat now. Initially he would get itchy puffy eyes if he touched his face after stroking her, but now she rubs all over his face and hes fine!
The dog loves me so thats ok 🤣

I believe that cats always go towards the person who least likes them - and that is down to body language.

Cats don’t like being looked at, in the cat world if you look away you are safe. In the human world, if you don’t like something you look away. So 2 worlds collide, cats, if you don't look at me you are safe, humans I don’t like you so I will look away.

Cats always go to the person who hates them the most

Ain't that the truth!
My late Zoos, The Killer Burmese, on meeting my hateful brother-in-law, went straight to him, jumped on his lap and lay down. He then anchored himself on b-i-l's thighs and clung on. Very firmly.
They never visited again.
God doesn't pay His debts in money. . . .
