I have recently passed my trailer test and I am currently hiring a 511 ifor williams. I have decided that It will be more economical to buy my own trailer but I dont have the budget for a 511 or a 510 ( Im getting married this year and a new trailer and horse will end in divorce). What ever I get I think I would like to put in a new floor, possibly aluminium to be on the safe side.
I have seen a Robinsons Requisite 200 advertised within my price range for a fairly new one in comparison to other makes, but I cant find anything about them really online! I am due to go and see it this weekend. (its 3 hours away) My mare is only just 16'1 warmblood/irish draught but is quite stocky and holds her head naturally quite high, 6'6 rugs.
I picked her up in a 505 when I bought her and her ears were touching the ceiling. The lady who owns the trailer has said that it can hold two 17hh horses and it also says this on the horse towing website.
I just wanted to no what peoples views are on the trailer in general and if you think my mare will fit?
I do like taking friends out to so want to make sure that there's room for my mare and another.
I no there have been issues with the floor on these in the past (its 2009) but if Im planning on replacing the floor should this even be an issue?
Please and help appreciated! I would love to hear everyone's views to avoid a possibly waisted 3 1/2 hour journey
thanks
