I rescued a mare nearly 2 years ago, she was 3 at the time ( previously trotted unbroken at 6 months by gypsies) , i was told she would be a lovely mare who was cooperative and a 'quick learner' was told but not shown that she would happily have a saddle on her back and was an angel to lunge. when i got her to the new yard she would not lunge or anything. now two years on i am trying to break her in and start schooling it started badly as she would fly kick and refuse to move. we went back to basics but she started to get more and more stubborn, when i now try and ride her she rears, bucks, fly kicks, rolls and bronks with the slightest squeeze i do not physically touch her with the whip when i ride as she gets more and more agitated even the sound of the whip makes her rear ( i have tried riding with and without) she has been gastroscoped, she has had nerve blocks, spinal xrays, xrays on all 4 legs and a bone scan all coming back clear, really running out of ideas. has anyone got any tips or new ideas of what i could try with her?
