Here’s mine: I have a giant working dog who I chose not to socialise. I bought him shortly before the first lockdown (whoops) so I couldn’t exactly walk him when I was already exercising a horse (felt a bit guilty) and I later chose not to take him out as he was so big and powerful. My brother took him down the local a few times, but I only just got into walking him myself now he’s 3. He was socialised at home via visitors when we could, but he’s so dopey I knew that 1) he has no real bite and 2) someone could walk off with him if I wasn’t careful enough.
I also watched my first dog get his face ripped off by another dog out walking when I was kid, so I didn’t want this to happen to my defenceless pup. The vet said the bite force would have crushed a smaller dog’s skull (first dog was a boxer x), so I didn’t want my pup to go through that obviously.

How old were you when you bought the pup?

Is this a troll

I thought this thread was going to be, oh I don't like people who have 'furbaby on board' stickers on their car and find squeaky toys the most annoying thing ever. Eep, eep, eep - just STFU already ? also improperly used Flexi leads....those are my canine pet hates. And owners who let their dogs run loose in the vet waiting room, omg.

I must be very gullible as I don’t think it’s a wind up. I read it that OP exercises the dog on their own land rather than out in public.

I have a reactive GSD who rarely gets ‘walked’, but she does get loads of exercise on my own land. Today she was active from 9am til 4.30pm with a couple of tea breaks.

I don't get any of this.

Why did you chose a giant breed?

Surely it shouldn't have come as a surprise that he would grow into a "big and powerful" dog.

Asking as the owner of a sociable giant sized dog who enjoys her walks.

Grow up and go and find something more interesting to do with your life other than winding people up on a forum

Why would anyone need a 'spare' account?

It's challenging enough trying to keep up with posters who keep changing their usernames.
Made when I forgot the password to this one, then discarded when I got access back :) and now I write passwords down, however much you're not supposed to, and fwiw only use this account, but am happy to ask admin to ban the other one if it really bothers people.

Username dig unnecessary. UI exists if I really rile you. I'm not to everyone's liking; no one is. But I'm not going to change myself to please strangers on the internet, and my identity is in constant flux.

Still no clear answer on the dog query, though.

Bitdefender, and use their password wallet. I'm sure there are plenty of others, I also use Bitwarden on my phone.

Number 2 is extremely irritating, the number of people who have smaller dogs who are clearly very nervous of our extremely gentle giant dog and whose anxiety is the only trigger to any situation that may arise.

Point 1 is prevalent in the giant breed world, that exercise for dogs under a year old should be so limited as to make socialisation almost impossible. How many Dane pups does anyone ever see being walked?
