Well I thought I would do a little update on my girly after all the well wishes I had after my gutted thread.
Eowyn is doing fine in most regards, she now out in the schooling area as I did section some of it off for her and leave Kia in the rest but he kept tormenting her and she was trying to jump out. So I made the space smaller and electrified it and made the tape higher ie the top of the poles (big leccy poles) and he blooming jumped over it to get to her then chased her through the fence wrapping her in it
So he is going to his aunty suzis to spend a few weeks with dezi until her leg heals and she wil just have to make do with ponies on either side of her for a bit.
The leg in itself seems to be healing nicely and quickly is due another bandage change so I have added the pics I took of the last bandage change later then more pics later.
She's not really lame despite only getting one bute a day so fingers crossed her injury heals as well and as soundly as the other one did.
Well pics of the leg
The melolin that came off
The gunk (non smelly but very goey)
I have made the decision after seeing all this gunk to take the bandage off and continue to treat with the cream until day after tomorrow when the cream and the antiB's are due to cease then i plan to let it dry out.
Main reasons are the skin is beginning to crinkle and look stressed and the hair is beginning to fall out and this is what happened before her bandage bow and the skin all dying along the front and back of her cannon and I DONT want to go through this again as Vet said that this is what caused the cellulitus and abcess as all the skin died and infection sets in over a larger surface area.
So here is leg treated and creamed
Her bum rubs I have been treating with baby oil and these have come up a treat so once the last scabs have been massaged off with the oil and dont grow back i will slather it in cornucrescine to get the hair to come back.
What do people think of the wound in general???
