Hoped i'd never be in the position to ask for vibes but please could you send some to my beautiful boy :(
He has colic, we'll know in an hour or so whether he's going to get better or worse - I've never seen a horse like that before and it's absolutely heartbreaking. Please could you all cross your fingers / send vibes / think & pray for him along with me ... he's so special and means the absolute world to me, I can't bear to lose him :( xxx

Thinking of you and hoping he is on the mend, we were in your position this time last year and were preparing for at best surgery but Rio is still here thanks to our brilliant vet and our son who helped to save him, I hope you have the same outcome. Best Wishes.
 
Thank you so much for your kind words, it means so much.
I stayed with him all night cuddling him and walking him around, he seemed to pick up a little at about 3/4am and raised my hopes but at around 7 this morning took a dramatic turn for the worse and was in obvious pain so I had to make the heartbreaking decision to send him to sleep :( . I've never lost a horse before so didn't really know what to expect but it was a lot more peaceful than i thought it would be. I told him how much I loved him and that he wouldn't hurt any more, and I was holding him as he fell asleep - he even gave me a kiss before he went which turned me into a complete wreck. The vet has just left and I'm absolutely heartbroken, his stable is right outside my window / the door so there's no escaping it. Don't know what I'm going to do without my special golden boy, I can't remember him not being around :(

I am so sorry, I only saw your post this morning and was hoping for the best, to lose him is heartbreaking I know as we have lost seven over the years but like me you were there for him and that does help in time. The good memories will outweigh the memory of today eventually and they will be the ones that stay with you as he will in your heart, take care xx
