Humans are the most barbaric species on this entire planet.

How can a nation consider this to be entertaining. Part of their culture - ridiculous.

Its not sport, its not entertainment, it is purely barbaric - not just for the innocent horse that lost its life here, but also for the many bulls.

Yes we breed cattle to eat. To eat - not to torture.
 
If I watch the video I wont be able to get the images out of my head and it will distress me for ages. The photos were bad enough.

If I thought signing some sort of a petition would help then my name would be at the top of the list but as a previous poster mentioned, 30 years on this sort of barbaric ' entertainment' will continue untill the Spanish them selves have a concience.

Having said this, it certainly doesn't mean I dont care but there is alot of crueltly in this world. I will never attend a bull fight or go to a rodeo and people need to start voting with their feet.
 
words can't describe how sick this is, and the people who support it are as sick as the rider. and to think english people go over to watch these as well.

Bullfighting is supposed to be a test & celebration of bravery & courage & arguably this is true when matador is on the ground with the bull. The contest in the video, the matador ( translation: killer, 'nuf said) is on a completely unprotected horse, so safer. At least in Spanish bullfighting horses have those mattress thingies on them, which helps somewhat - I am not defending bullfighting BTW, just pointing out differences. Spanish are less & less tolerant of bullfighting, but not yet to the point of a national ban, tho I believe Catalonia has now banned it?
 
I never like bull fighting, such an outdated, pointless and cruel 'tradition',
However this is the first time I have seen are horse maimed in such as way. I alway wondered about 5 year old 'ex' bull fighting horses and why they were retired so young. Yes they have to well schooled, quick and agile, and look at the price they pay when they are not quick enough :(
 
Horrific and barbaric.

What happened to this horse is disgusting...but we must not forget what happens to these bulls everyday.

The one being stabbed in the spine by knives and gutted by the bull is the human beings who run and support this sick "sport".

Really sorry, I cannot bring myself to watch the video but on the strength of the photos I will sign the petition.

I love Spain and it's horses but I cannot condone bullfighting

I can't imagine the pain that poor horse is going through :(
It's one thing being slaughtered by a bullet/bolt/whatever to the brain, but left to gallop around with guts hanging out? I just can't fathom it. I know I'll have nightmares about this :(
 
I've not looked at the pictures and certainly not viewed the vid, but I have signed.

Whats sad is when you think back to the middle ages and read about history and think how far we have come..., then realise that actually even now when we are armed with knowledge we haven't changed much at all. Human beings are the sickest and most selfish we will ever know.
 
There is a Frenchman in Normandy who bought a genuine fighting bred Spanish bull as a calf.This animal is treated like a pet dog,the result is a loyal pet no different to a cow.:)He is four now ,and still soppy. The bulls never see men on foot on the ranches,they are teased,have those appalling spears stabbed into their neck muscle to mostly disarm them..I think even an old milk cow would be pretty upset by that ..don`t you?
How any country can pursue this disgusting "tradition" ..in fact only 200 years old..and hold it`s head up in modern society is completely beyond me.:mad::mad::mad:
Don`t just feel sorry for the horses,the whole affair is shameful.
 
I think these horses are incredible, their athleticism and speed amazes me. They're highly prized and valued horses... so where does it make sense to put them at so much risk in order to do something so barbaric?

Surely in this modern day and age, the 'sport' of bullfighting could be adapted, i.e. no bull?!
 
I was sitting on the school fence this evening watching my daughter having a great time on her lovely ready to please pony , and thought about these pictures and the video last week of the racehorses been pushed over their limits and thought how vile humans are , how can it be acceptable to do these things to such beautiful animals ?
