It's already Thursday here, getting in early for all you Northerners!

Weekend is going to be HOT here, incredibly unusual for the start of Autumn. Saturday will be a lovely high of 37C and Sunday 27C
I personally will be pottering about on my two. L the Haflinger is doing so well! I'm very proud of her because she managed a circle of nice canter yesterday.
She's trying to find her balance and tries so hard :) Plan is to do some fun games involving canter so she gains confidence that she CAN do it without racing around or falling over :P Then we can all have a water bath perhaps, the TB included!

E the TB is just coming back into canter work after the last few months of not being right, she's improving continually so fingers crossed the work will build muscles in all the right places so she can start using herself properly again.

Obligatory photo of hot and sweaty Haflinger :P

Have a great weekend everyone :D

Hello down there! Naww, pretty haffy face (wish I looked that good sweaty)
Nothing much for me, just some tootsie tidying and a spot of hacking now that flu gate seems to be passing us by. It's been unseasonably hot here too this week, but it meant to cool and rain some from tomorrow.

Good luck everyone out competing this week 😁

I've been very kindly offered a ride on a beauuuutiful maxi-cob by his lovely owner on the yard while D is away so hopefully will be getting in some stress free hacks to build my confidence back up!

As always, good luck to people out and about and doing! I really do love reading reports and adventures :)

Jeepers Nothern! Thats a bit hot for Tassie! We have had our hot weather this week and it's cooling down for the weekend... Only 34 on Sunday :p. I expect March will continue to be hot.

We have a long weekend here, and Henry is going out to do his first competition of the season on Saturday. 65cm combined training, which i am a bit excited about. Sunday we are off for a ride with friends, and then Monday will be riding at home and maybe wearing new hiking boots in if we can get out before it hits 35

It's very rude, especially because they seem to be forecasting higher and higher each day closer for the weekend :o Only 34 for you, bet you have the winter jumpers primed then :P
I'm not competing while I'm down here for uni, but am busy planning my eventing competition calendar when I move back home end of May. Hopefully Sydney (never been!), Albury and maybe Wagga between the two of them :D

Yuck! It's funny, you see 34 forecast and think UGH too hot. But really it's not so bad when you're used to it. If there is a breeze it's positively pleasant.

May will be the perfect time to get back into it! How exciting! I would love to compete over east but it is very unlikely it will happen. Not unless I magically get really good and really brave! One day I will go and watch at Sydney and Melbourne.

I’m horse shopping today and tomorrow, then off to SNEC with my remaining working horse for the 1.10m on Saturday.

He jumped like a beast in his lesson last night so 🤞🏻 I can replicate that on the day.

Got my eye on one of the upcoming RHS qualifiers so might go and watch before I decide whether or not to take the plunge. 😳

I'm Eventer trialling on Sun, 75cm class half SJ half xc fences. There's points for style too so better try my best
Going to call about my box today, it's moved out of the workshop however they haven't called and someone on the yard said in a passing comment 'maybe they towed it out' and now i'm panicking that it still hasn't been fixed! On the other hand they are terrible at calling so fingers crossed they just haven't got round to calling me. On the plus side a nice fellow livery has offered to take me if I don't have it back so at least I can get out :) nervous though!

Wow that’s got! She’s got a very pretty face northern. Have fun those out and about

Flu jab Friday so a quiet one at home for us but that does mean we will finally be out from next weekend. Don’t quite believe it tbh as it’s been months now but fingers crossed that the stars align!

crikey Northern and AE that is on the warm side, im quite happy with our 12 degrees here, wish it was this weather all year round.

Ive got an exciting weekend , Aria is off doing her first BS of this year, shes having a go at the 1.05m, if all goes well then next time she can try the newcomers. Then sunday me and the daughter are off doing a bit of unaffiliated dressage. I had a fab jumping lesson last night, and im starting to overcome the nerves, the new chap is a no nonsense type who will happily tell me im pathetic. This approach works for me, I don't want molly coddling, I need my ass kicking .

Northern: I would not be describing 37 as 'lovely!'
DabDab/DenBob: Happy hacking. :D
JFDT-WS: Enjoy jumping. I am loving jumping atm. Long may it last....
A/E: 34 is more manageable. JUST! High 20s is about my limit. But I guess you are used to it.
BM: Good luck horse shopping. Keep us updated.
Chippers/Asha: Good luck competing.

I am beside myself with excitement as..... drumroll..... EVENTING IS RESTARTING!!

I am doing my first ever BE90 at Aston Le Walls. :D:D

I know the test. (Truly, I have ridden it in my head 1000 times). I am going down the day before and staying over so I can walk the XC course eleventy billion times. I WILL NOT GO WRONG......

Here is the course if anyone is interested. Looks ok, I think......

I've had emergency eye surgery so anything exciting is on hold. I did manage to get the pony moved and drive her once before this all happened so hopefully back to it by the weekend. I've booked us to go away for the weekend in April, to a training weekend. Its all very low key but I need to get her fitness up beforehand, so theres going to be lots of very boring road driving for the next few weeks. Hopefully the weather stays nice for it!

I know right 🙄 there’s a reason I don’t post photos of myself riding 😂

that's a great map, and the jumps look almost inviting ! You will storm it, good luck

Horse one tuned out to be a wind-sucker so I walked away. The two I have lined up for tomorrow morning both look promising from the vid s I’ve seen. Off to look up their comp records.

Trainer is now jumping my horse on Sunday

Successful viewing this morning - the older horse turned out to not be suitable but the younger one was lovely and I’m trying him again tomorrow. 🙂

Plus, it’s close enough that my own vet can do the vetting if we get that far. 🤞🏻

Brilliant news :)

Aston 90 is a lovely easy course and I always think helpful when the SJ is on a surface, less to worry about! Gutted as was hoping to be there with Boggle as his step up to 100 but jockey couldn’t do the date, so he’s in at Munstead instead (in the open to avoid ballot!)

Good luck! Xxx

I've been through and liked and read everyone's comments. Hope everyone has fun whatever they're doing with a special good luck to those competing.

This weekend Chilli and I have another lesson with the same fabulous lady. Hopefully we've improved :) Next weekend is another competition so going to work hard this week to hopefully do better than last time...
