I'm very late to this party as it's already Tuesday! We had a long weekend and after a nice bush ride Friday arvo with a friend who's been away for 5 months Saturday was filled with un horsey things, Hubby became an Aussie. So we had to go to the ceremony and had a big party as you do.
Then Sunday after less than ideal prep (not jumping in a few weeks, a light work week, a walk out in the bush and then a day off!) I took young Henry to do some SJ training rounds. He was very fresh and decided that listening to me was optional but he wasn't silly and he did listen after a bit of a discussion. So I think it's a win especially as I didn't feel nervous. Just need to get a bit more consistent but for the first outing of the year it's a solid starting point.
Yesterday was another ride out with some friends, which was a fun but very hot morning. It hit 40C yesterday so I hid in the aircon after that.
