Another week, another tropical storm in the forecast

What's everyone got planned?

Not a lot here, again, I'm contemplating another indoor arena hire but it will depend on OH's plans as little lorry needs a spruce up ready for MOT next week.
Other than that we are off to a gin-making class that was a wedding present last year and we have only just got round to organising :p

Have fun everyone :)

M is just over 3 weeks into his 4 week enforced rest so not much for us still, he trotted up without any unlevelness for the farrier on monday which is brill.

I will trot him up again early next week and then fingers crossed can start light work again :)

I still have a bit of painting and other winter prep to be doing, nearly there now!

Hmm depends on the weather ! Getting stuff sorted for camp which is the next weekend (let’s hope that’s not too soggy!) on Saturday. Due to do sp ride Sunday but if it’s chucking it down well give it a miss 🙁.

Soggy hacking tomorrow, my brothers wedding on Saturday (outside, this'll be fun!), and the Newbury 4x4 autojumble on Sunday for parts for the new Land Rover :).

She's been tricky in the contact since day 1 and I've finally tried her in a nathe, it's like riding a different horse. So I'm really hoping to finally sort that out.

I'm doing Area Festival regional finals! :D I posted on here about coming 11th at Wellie back in July and somebody said I might have qualified for regionals as under 21s have their own championship. Sure enough, I got an email a few weeks ago saying I'd qualified! 33 in our class, so getting placed is a vanishingly small chance, so I shall just concentrate on enjoying it and trying to improve on our PB. I think we get a plaque just for completing :D

Which camp Bernster?

It’s at boomerang - ros canter and Caroline Moore. Bonkers as I’m only jumping 70 but it’s a Wobbleberry group and I’m just going for the fun of it. Not often you get to a camp with a world class rider!

Never camped since I was a kid and never in a lorry so feeling a bit eeeek about my first time out and planning on getting a heater and super duper sleeping bag for the cold nights. Eeep.

After our big weekend last week we are having a much quieter weekend mostly spent at home. We have a show jumping comp on Sunday but just going for two rounds first thing, then having lunch with a friend. Luckily our bad weather is all happening today and things are fining up for the weekend, even though it will be cold.

Have fun all, and stay dry!

Good luck AE... Everything crossed for you here..

Everyone has fab plans for this weekend, and I LOVE the sound of Bernsters camp ...

We had the storm last night and it's dry again now.

Hopefully going to ride soon, and maybe even clip.

Daisy had the physio for sore hamstring on Wednesday so can't go to schools jumping tomorrow sadly.

We might hack out though weather permitting, and have a new wardrobe arriving.

Sunday I have RC Interclub SJ, and also need to bake something before then.

Bit nervous as it's my first one, although it's familiar surroundings...

Fiona

The gin making class sounds fun. It's nice to get something different as a present.

Yeah should be :D OH and I don't really spend a lot of quality time together so be nice to just have a few hours where we can't get sidetracked into doing jobs. Plus you get a bottle of your own gin to take home, *hic*

I'm going to concentrate on getting the beast straighter for the next while. I did his carrot stretches and walking in hand over cavaletti yesterday. I'm going to do the same today as well as some lunging and schooling.

Trial horsey failed his vetting :confused: so on the hunt again, although he's still at my yard with me for the minute while owner decides what she's doing. He's lovely to have around and no hassle so I don't mind!!

Baby Ted has his first outing on Sunday to a BD test riding clinic thing. First Intercounty qualifier of the year, which means it must be basically winter:oops:

Good luck to everyone else this weekend, hopefully it's not too soggy!!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
I started projectile vomiting last night, with very little warning. Needless to say I have some sort of stomach bug and am spending the day on the couch, surrounded by dogs. Managed to muck one bed out this morning before I nearly keeled over, so somewhoe have to find the energy for the second bed later.
Riding is probably out the window this weekend now.

I'm off to Wales with Tamba to do the 65k. It should be a good day, we are travelling up today and he is staying in a stable overnight so I could have a stroppy pony on my hands tomorrow! I suspect I will trot up in a bridle, as perverse pony that he is he has been known to canter!
We are staying in a b and b, as we don't really do camping in the trailer! Really looking forward to it before a winter of dressage training with some jumping to keep us both happy. Winnie is also seeing the vet today to see if she can come back to work. Plus trotting up the oldies to see if they are good to go!
Sounds like you have had a few failed vettings AE, hopefully this one is better!
Have fun everyone, it's always great to hear how everyone is getting on.

Recovering from four day show last week in wind rain gales etc. After a quiet July and August horse has done four championship shows in September so on a well deserved holiday. Good luck to all who are out and about.

Running round like a blue-arsed fly getting ready to go on holiday on Sunday. I've just realised that I have no cold-weather sailing clothes, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to need them!

My ODE has been rained off so providing it isn't also rained off I will probably go autumn hunting.

I really need to clip too, not sure whether I will have time though. Have promised the husband some quality time on Saturday!

Oooooh exciting!

I did a few clinics with Caroline Moore years ago they were brilliant. She's got a slightly scary reputation but she was actually very encouraging despite me being on a borrowed riding school horse. I did an arena eventing one and a couple of flatwork ones.
