What's everyone up to?
I'm going to be relying on you lot for horsey reports so hope there are lots of plans being hatched :)

Lorry is in for it's annual tart up and MOT so we're grounded.
Plus it's OH's birthday and our first wedding anniversary on Saturday so I've booked us a night away and we're going to Hollycombe Steam in the Country funfair which is open in the evening :D should be a bit of fun.

Salty says Hi :p

Enjoy your trip MP - that sounds lovely :) And happy anniversary x x

Daisy pony seems to have recovered from her sore hamstring (she wasn't lame but was twisting her hind foot) and had a super WH lesson on Tuesday evening. F and her have SJ junior league SJ on Sat afternoon.

Fionn has been hunter clipped and looks very smart, but then lost a shoe, which was only put on last night. No plans for him this weekend (after our great SJ last weekend) but we may go XC schooling on Sunday if the weather is nice.

Sophie OH's mare had three loose teeth removed on Monday, so she can't be ridden for a couple of weeks, though we have borrowed a hackamore for when she is ready.

Well yet another weekend is dominated by horse buying and selling. Jenny is NOT going to my friend.:(:(:(

We were basically in a chain like house buyers! And the buyer for her little pony who was meant to be collecting at half term has pulled out. Argghh!!! The little girl is gutted. As am I. I have offered to LWVTB Jenny to them indefinitely with them only paying when they sell but they have no space for her till the 11.2 moves on. And that is back at square one. Which means I have Deedee coming this weekend and I no space for her either o_Oo_Oo_O

Still something will work out. It always does in the end. Anyone want the world's sweetest pony?!

Happy Anniversary MP!
AE, I am so gutted for you that is ever so frustrating :(!!!!

Rocky has had a few weeks holiday after our busy summer, I was in Alcudia last week but was horribly ill the whole time and still haven't recovered
Anyways, he had his back checked and sports massage on Tuesday, clipped out yesterday and ready to come back into work.
Had a quick ride on him this morning before work, not been under saddle for weeks, naked and it was 8 degrees, he was lovely as always!

Have a wedding on Sat, and the weather looks rubbish for the whole weekend. Booo!!!
Hope everyone has a good one xx

Very pretty BR2.....

I clipped too yesterday, but no shine on Fionn as he is grey :(

Ohh no AE, that's nuts, could your friend not afford to keep the 11.2 and Jenny for a short period while she sells the smaller one?

Thanks Fiona :)
I love greys but that is true! I don't normally need to clip before Nov but his coat was just ridiculous and he gets so sweaty.

Enjoy your lovely weekend MP

Glad daisy is on the mend fiona

Sounds a bit of a nightmare AE but I'm sure you'll get there in the end.

I am just about to get changed and go out to ride my pony for the first time after his enforced rest! Exciting although I'm not sure how much he'll enjoy only walking for the next week or so!

I am stewarding both days at the Caledonian Champs! So if anyone is going I will be in the main ring being bossy all day pop your head in and say Hi! Thats about all I will have time for lol!

That's very exciting wheels.... Enjoy!!

Did you find out exactly what was up with him??

Fiona

We didnt get a definitive diagnosis, only that it was highly likely some kind of soft tissue strain in his foot. Xrays were clean and it was so subtle the vet said he wouldn't even declare him as lame but there was something making him a bit uncomfortable. He is moving very nicely at the moment so we will start work slowly and hope it doesnt re-surface as then we would be looking at an MRI

Great, I'm glad it was something so minor :)

Gorgeous BvR!
Fiona, it is not a cost issue. I would loan her Jenny for as long as needed. But her yard does not allow winter overnight turnout, and she has no stable for Jenny so can't take her till she frees up a stable. I at least am allowed 24/7 turnout though I prefer mine in overnight in winter.

Well I have nothing exciting going on at all really. I have ponies to hack and shit to shovel and some weird inconsistent archery stuff to fix (on the ground). The mare's having an end of summer holiday for a couple of weeks. Dae's having an end of season manners reinforcement. Fergus is just having an end of summer jolly :D

Happy anniversary MP!

I have no major plans. I'm still rehabbing.

it was my 10th anniversary with my little cob yesterday. So I will be showering him with apples and love 😄

He has his exciting new insoles on now. He leaves the cutest footprints.

Enjoy your night away MP and happy anniversary!
AE, what a pain. Hopefully it will all work out for you sooner rather than later.

I’ve entered a BD prelim non-comp on Saturday, largely coz I really wanted a trip out this weekend and the unaffiliated was early morning (we have too many animals at home for me to be remotely ready early morning!)
Quite nice really to go out knowing I can’t be placed. Totally takes the pressure off!

Happy anniversary MP!
I am taking Paddy to an arena eventing clinic on Saturday, which neither of us have done before but we are both very excited!! Well, I’m certainly excited and I have told him all about it and he looked interested so I hope he is too. Winter hay came in last Friday, he gorged himself overnight and produced the most sedate XC schooling I have ever seen from him - i think the hay weighed him down... but he has been back to his usual Paddy self this week so fingers crossed he has enough energy!

Novice 23 for me on Saturday, which is not a nice one for my boy as extensions are hit and miss and there are 4, but least it should make riding the prelims at the TQ Nationals a bit easier.

I cant believe I just wrote that. :D We really are going!!!

AE sorry you’re having a tricky time of it. Hope it gets sorted soon.

Happy anniversary MP. And have fun everyone who is out and about.

I’m heading off to CAMP this afternoon, after a mad rush with some last minute work and trying to work out what I need to take. Was less excited to learn there is no electricity hook up so I’m relying on whoever my solar battery covers (I don’t even know that haha). First time sleeping in the lorry eeeeeeeek. Once I get there, then I’ll start to get excited about having lessons with ros canter and Caroline Moore. Gulp.

I am stewarding both days at the Caledonian Champs! So if anyone is going I will be in the main ring being bossy all day pop your head in and say Hi! Thats about all I will have time for lol!

I am hoping to come down to the Caley Champs on sunday with my mare. Weather dependant though. We are coming from Inverness. So will be up bright and early sunday morning to do damage control on my mostly white coloured.

Happy anniversary MP , and hello Salty .
Have fun Bernster , I love camps so much fun , lots of drinking riding and laughing for you no doubt . Will look forward to your report .
No outing for us this weekend , as we will be foal watching . My daughters is will handled but mine hasn’t been touched . So after a few days to settle in , this weekend is about getting a head collars on . She’s already getting braver , I managed to give her a scratch all over last night .
Good luck everyone out and about

Everyone have fun and good luck!
And I hope everyone who is having tricky situations gets sorted

We are off to what will be a VERY wet dressage comp on Sat for 2 prelim tests. Anyone got any advice about how to stay dry? I'm thinking I will wear a smart waterproof jacket. I don't want to ruin my nice tweed!

I'm heading to an amble on Sunday, picked the 'fast' one so could be a disaster or could be fun!
How frustrating AE, you'll get her sold eventually :)
Good luck everyone else out competing and other stuff!

Sulking!!

My hunter trail has been cancelled because of this horrid wet weather, it was my last opportunity to get a XC round in before the season finishes so I'm devastated to be honest! 😞
On the plus side Arena Eventing will start soon which is our second favourite thing to going across the country.

Last weekend I took my horse to a fun ride - a spur of the moment thing and not something I’ve ever done before or considered doing before. Went on my own but bumped into an old friend who was also on her own and we decided to ride together so it was perfect. Basically cantered the whole 12 miles and Brieze was in her element, still full of beans by the end (picture of her beautiful happy face)

work, work, work for me unfortunately as my Tessa Thorne lesson was cancelled:( but I am going to view a horse on Saturday! I'm not quite sure if I like her or not but she fits all the criteria, is within budget and only 25mins away so figured it was worth a look:D

Good luck to everyone competing this weekend! Asha the foals are lovely!!
