Please don't call if you are a novice, nervous or require a full wardrobe of tack with him. There will be no trials and also please don't ask if you can just try him while you are here, if you need to try him then you are not a capable enough rider to buy him. He is not in work and priced to sell from the field.

I don't know whether to admire the honesty or be shocked at the thought of someone not being able to ride him whilst viewing without be labelled as incompetent

If he has issues that needynge work before riding him then she is right to put that in. Better that that someone getting hurt. I didn't try my WB and she was brought from the feild, she has issues that I knew about and could hurt you when she chucked you off. We are working through it all and making good profess on the ground and getting her to settle when ridden.

I think it's a very honest advert and we need more like this.

Ahh good sleuthing Rhino!! :D

We specialize in re schooling, training & producing top quality horses ranging from Riding Club standard to competition horses in all disciplines.

Either this horse is a total nutcase or they really aren't as good as they'd like to make out!

Think I've just found another dealer to avoid tbh; not heard of them but they're not far away either.

Quite clearly have pictures of different horses on the same adverts, and since when is a key selling point of a horse 'I have seen her ridden without a hat'

On the surface a lovely horse, with a lot of jump for your money...

However being sold from 'professional' reschooling yard who don't have the time to work him..
Speaks nutcase to me! And I'm sure that they betting on someone who is buying a horse as cheap as that is most likely not to get it vetted...

TBH I prefer very honest ads like this , than ones that don,t tell it like it is.Maybe they are advertising on behalf of the owner., sold from the field ...means basically if you can catch it and box it , its yours lol

I think that you are right, I personally wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Haha that selling point made me laugh too!

I wonder if they will actually manage to sell this horse, I suppose that some people might love the honesty..?

She has a good reputation around here. I've bought from her. She was completely honest about him and he was exactly as described.

She is pretty much a one-man-band, so to speak. She has a lot of horses to look after and school and I guess that she just doesn't have the time that this particular horse obviously needs.

I bet he's scary as heck if a dealer won't get on him on a regular basis. That or they think he'll do better with a one to one which is possible. Or that he just needs doing three or four times a day, they could genuinely not have time for him if they have a lot in and he really is labour intensive. Nitty was done four times a day when she first went off for similar issues and to be fair that's an awful lot of work to put into something for not a lot of return. They're never going to get top dollar for him as he probably won't ever be uncomplicated and it may just not be worth their time to try and work through it.

I admire their honesty and at least people buying will be going in with their eyes open.

When I was heavily pregnant I honestly thought we were going to have to sell all our horses-so much that I did put them all up for sale. My mare is ridden but was out of work because of my pregnancy and wasn't really the type to just 'stick a saddle on'. I tried to sell her 'from the field' at a price to suit and had no end of pillocks wanting to ride her, despite me clearly saying this would not be possible in the advert, and why.

Glad I didn't sell her as although we did have to sell three we are coping just fine now with mine and hubby's mare. :)

I prefer honest ads like this to be honest. Who is to say that he is the sort of horse who just needs time and a good bond, which is something he wouldn't get there?

To be frank a ten year old very uninspiring in his video you would have to pay me to take him.

Yeah he looks very odd. Looked like the rider was waiting for an explosion. I reckon if you have a problem horse and want to sell it honestly that's really good but you have to be willing to demonstrate the problems at their worst.

This has made me laugh a little. It depends what they want for it. Anything under £500 and it might be worth a shot but considering its jump is 'good' not 'spectacular' then I wouldn't risk it for any more. I don't mind their honesty, in fact its quite refreshing but it does make you question how bad it really is...

Cant say I'd buy him for any thing more than a companion. He doesnt look particularly special and with his issues I'm sure I could get an unspoilt youngster of better quality with out the back ground issues. I'd love to know what he does that means that a dealer wont get on him, reading between the lines he sounds like he needs a professional rider but doesnt have the tallent for them to put up with his quirks. As he is he looks like a very green horse that could be a rc all rounder if he didnt have issues.

If this was a private seller I'd think good on them for their honesty, but he comes from a pro yard who specialize is backing/ training so I wouldn't go near him tbh...

Rings alarm bells just based on that.

The video is dated April too, so it's not a recent thing, and makes me think it is unlikely she is selling for someone else

Maybe with his height too, they don't want kids turning up? Looks like he might have a bit of a clever pony brain on him the way she's riding him...
