Sadly, my mare is worse than ever this morning. I'm going to try her in boots, but I think something serious is going on with her right front. Am phoning the vet today.
Oh no! x Poor girl! x Fingers crossed for you both! x
Stay positive and hopefully its an abscess from the first set of shoes, mad to think that we almost hope for an abscess when our horses come lame x
Such a beautiful girl x
Thank you.Good call about the vet. It sounds like there is something definitely going on. Bless her. I hope it can be sorted out for both of your sakes.
Sorry cant concerntrate after seeing the cute dog in the first picture
I know, I have two of them. They are like cuddly polarbears.
Not helpful i know!! x![]()
I think you need the feet imaging tbh - you need to know whats going on inside them else you're trying to fix it blind
Good luck xxx

I've been following this thread but never comment as I have nothing of any intelligence to addbut I just wanted to say that I have my fingers crossed that it all works out

I'm so sorry that she's gone downhill a bit.
If it is laminitis, I hope that you are able to nip it in the bud and that she improves quickly. I wouldn't move her as you don't want her to get stress induced laminitis too.
The bit about the fat pads and crest/ribs makes me wonder about cushings
Can you get your sister to come and see you for a weekend and give you a really thorough grounding in what you can do with your facilities and to take look at the foot balance?
Sure you could offer her a meal out or something in recompense?![]()
