I'm thinking of putting my Irish mare in foal again in 2010 but it's hard for me to find the right stally for her.
She's 18, but had 3 foals before with no problems except they have all been large foals. She's only 16.1hh herself but for this reason I wouldn't use a stallion larger than 16.1hh.
She's by Diamond Rock (ID) out of a TB mare by Trombone. Jumped to 1.30m level in short career, very bold and honest but can be sharp, although I don't mind this.
Ideally I'd like to stick to TB or ISH or perhaps SF. She had a beautiful foal by Alme Des Nids in 2008 but now she is older I'd like something with less bone.
So.....! Definitely 16.1hh or under, a bit more quality but defintely something that produces jumping stock. Doesn't have to be a pure SJ as she has enough jump for anyone. Only easy thing is budget, I have money for the right stallion.
Here's some pics to show her conformation, she's pretty good but her hocks are a little 'Irish':
11.5 months pregnant here!
And when she was fit:
Any ideas?
