OK so, have been eventing my mare and due to an injury (my other horse kicked her) she will be off work for several months, maybe even forever. So I am considering putting her in foal. looking at millions of stallions. and no idea.
Her details. Bay 17.1hh, good walk and canter. not good trot- un-active, downhill, boring. Amazing jump. Sj 1m30 at home, XC BE novice. I really would like to improve her paces, especially trot. Id like something with a really active hind leg, and very uphill.
Confirmationally,A little heavy of bone, would like a bit more quality. She has a large head, and long back.So id like a short back stallion with small head. She stands over the front over the front of her legs, so id like legs that dont go diagonally, must be straight and vertical. From the front her legs are fairly staright. she moves fairly straight. Her pelvis tilts forwards a little, so its harder to engage her hind legs. I think if her confirmation was better in these ways, then the dressage would be better, but the paces still would need improving. Her neck is also a little low set.
Ive probably made my poor mare sound absolutely awfull, but its just me trying to be very clear about what I want. She has always done her job very well!! Any suggestions welcome.
Price wise. Prefere nothing too expensive, as she is a maiden, and we are now in the tail end of the season!!! Must be AI only.
