what's your favourite coat color

Liver chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail. Ideally with white stockings and a blaze. I read far too much Jinny and Shantih as a kid, and as a teenager used to ride an arab mare who was so close to Shantih.

However despite thinking bay with no white was unbelievably boring when I bought L I have grown to love it. If nothing else it is easy to keep clean and very shiny!

I like solid colour darker horses as they are so much easier to keep clean! Somehow I have ended up with all GREYS though.... each time I am determined not to do it but then I see a grey and thats it. At this point I think its just a habit!

I do like blue duns, though I think a blue dun silver dapple is a favourite. I had a lovely blue dun but currently have a flaxen chestnut and he is lovely too. I had a jet black stallion at one time who came out in lovely dapples in summer but would have been beautiful whatever colour he was.

Buckskin or dun would be my absolute favourite, one of the glowing golden ones, like my first pony :D . But I also like a nice bright bay (handy as I have got 3), and I've ended up with 2 rather different chestnuts which are also beautiful. I would love a black horse. Not that fussed on coloureds but I have a 50:50 chance of getting one with homebred on the way so I will probably have to learn to love them too :p I would not choose a grey.

Buckskin or dun just love them and you never get a bad one (bet that’s a complete surprise looking at my profile pic ) lol ? and yes I particularly bought her because of her colour ( although she also had to move well and have talent )
See, this is really interesting, because I have a very large buckskin who has put several people in comas, and since having him have discovered that most yellow horse owners are aware of the ‘yellow gene of evil’ that seems to come with the pretty colour ?

I absolutely loved the look of one of my old horses. Proper sporty Welsh.

I'm partial to a grey, but don't really have a favourite colour and would never buy a horse just because of it. I'm not fond of white markings, or washy chestnuts or washy bays, but have had so many horses over the years (100's - ex pro trainer & stud farm owner) that I can't say colour has ever really been a priority.

*Palominos have never been a favourite either, but one of my best horses was a real "pink" chap.

That because its actually ginge gene and the dilution makes them extra evil ?

Currently have a grey, and a black with white markings.

I love a good grey, but I've sworn not to have another as the hassle of keeping them clean is a nightmare...

I love the rich black coat, especially with contrasting white socks and would be very keen to have another black horse.

Otherwise, I like liver chestnuts, preferably with a flaxen mane and tail, palominos and a really nicely marked skewbald.

When I was a teenager a local girl had the only buckskin I had seen at the time, a 14.2 welsh type. She sadly ended up brain damaged when he went over backwards with her. We only wore hats for shows in those days :(

I like bright bay with no white socks and a star ( colour of my first horse haha) and I love the colour of my current horse. He is bay with a blanket. But with his summer coat his legs are a dark choclate Brown instead of black and he has silver in his mane and tail. The bay colour on his body and face is roany and the amount of white flecks in his coat changes with each coat change. Sometimes more sometime less. I don't know if it's a spotty horse thing because he was 14 this year and his basic pattern hasn't changed so I don't think it's that he's getting lighter. He also has a big white blaze which I didn't used to like before I had him but I love it now

I love all shades of chestnut and light bays. I also love a native with a mealy muzzle and dorsal stripe, beautiful.
