which dog food are you feeding?

My three terriers did really well for several years on Arden Grange Chiicken and Rice with a little Butchers cereal free wet food then suddenly all three stopped eating it. We tried several other kibbles and none were a succes, the two that would normally eat anything weren't happy at all. A couple of friends use Butternet Box and in desperation we tried it. The two who usally eat anything love it, at dinner time they get really excited in anticipation, the third who has always been picky seems much happier too, sometimes he will not eat initially but if offered it again an hour or two later usually finishes it all. The downside is the cost, it's over £30 a week and we had to but a small freezer to store it in. However, happy dogs = happy owners!

I’d really love to feed something like this to save my guilt….. Flora just won’t have it! Typical terrier girl lol, so opinionated 🤷‍♀️

I use Pure for my 2 JRTs. They are nearly 2. Both happy and eating well, although to be fair would probably eat anything. Certainly full of energy. Been on it 8 mo the now.

Bentleys Taste of the Ocean. Bigger pieces than her previous kibble and she occasionally crunches and chews it properly, often wolfs it down like she's never eaten before

Burgess sensitive turkey kibble with a bit of natures menu hunters pouches as a topper . Used to feed Wolfworthy but my new lurcher found it too rich, he loved it but I didn’t love runny poos so changed the terriers to burgess as well . All look and have firm poos so not changing it now , bonus is I get a big bag from Amazon so less lugging heavy bags about for me

Used Arden Grange for years, started using it on a lurcher that had bowel problems and worked my way through all the small bags from high to low priced in the local pet store and it settled the bowel problem, and then fed it to everyone else.
Since then I have tried Skinners, Seven and now they are on Wolf in the Wildeness, dressed with bit of Butchers tinned. All have amazing coat. The dachshund that was a mess, is now all shiney muscle. Or it could be all the horse poop that they eat.
I go on price, and use either,
as both do bulk offers, delivered in about three days.

GSDs and very active working sheepdogs here and I feed Simpsons Premium. All dogs get meaty venison bones a couple of times a week and a free range raw egg a day.

I’ve tried cheaper alternatives but have to feed much more and then have more poop to scoop and of a less firm consistency. So Simpsons Premium it is. I’m part of the breeder scheme (as we have 13 dogs) and I get a pallet load delivered every 3/4 months.

Our last one always got Asda's own and he always looked well on it - this one gets Wainwrights and he's laid down more muscle quicker and is definitely shinier in his coat that the last one ever was. Both Yorkshire terriers.

Oh dear, this is a mine field and I've just looked at how much I'm spending! - started using JWB tins as the pouches are getting smaller, he's getting one tin per day plus any kibble he wants and the tins are £28.99 for 12, he also has raw duck necks for treats and to help keep his teeth clean and because he loves them, plus a couple of flexi joint tablets because of his age, I will just add he is SO worth it, he's my stroke recovery dog & I'd never have got to this level of mobility without him.

Raw - living on a beef farm I have access to beef, offal and add in veg. We coarse mince it together, prepack weighed out portions and freeze - I then just defrost. Bunny is really fussy and it seems to be the only thing that she will eat after trying lots of different brands and presentations.

I started on Millie’s wolf heart but mine wouldn’t eat it. We tried a few but they settled on cannagan and they love it
I top it with a tin of Naturo

I'm on fish4dogs at the moment but have used skinners in the past. The skinners was for a medium sized terrier so possibly that is the type of dog it suits?

Oh Moobli ,first time ever I have found someone else who feeds Simpsons Premium. My dogs do so well on it and you don’t need to feed much to have them looking wonderfully fit and healthy. My latest flatcoat has never been on any other kibble. They do have Naturo as a topper.
Millie’s Wolfheart was all the rage at one time and I tried it. The dogs ate it ok but I could never adjust the amount so the dogs were the right fatness/ thinness without them either being runny or constipated. It was expensive too.

Skippers grain free fish. Had to change from Fish4Dogs and Angel Petco due to the inclusion of pea protein. I also add potato/sweet potato mash, sardines, cooked chicken mince and a poached egg (it’s a thing, he likes them). It’s a challenge due to skinny mongrel weight and sensitive tum. If he had his way, he’d live off cheese and buttered toast !

I looked at Simpson premium but I think it was even more expensive than Mwh? Maybe not.

Tesco Working Dog/Adult Dog food. They also get the dinner scraps which is usually veg and meat of some kind and gravy. Both border collies, one is leaner than the other but are in good condition.

I managed to join the breeder scheme! Typically I have half a pallet of Essentials in stock but I’ll give it a try when I need to do an order.
I tried before when you recommended but it was so hard to do. This time, poof and I’m in!

But I was so excited and now I see it’s 10% beet pulp. Dammit!
