I just wondered - the only horse mag I ever got on subscription was called Pony, years and years ago, where they had those lists of tack for sale, and I bought dandy brushes with my pocket money, and the HandH was what you bought if you were buying/selling as there wasn't internet in those days. Ah, my age catching up with me
Anyways, I need to get more horsey titbits, so I stocked up on some mags last week to try and get some inspiration for working with my youngster. Nearly £4 a throw, but there you go. I read the HandH, but found it wasn't really aimed at me, as I don't compete and stuff, but loved the ads. Several other mags had good articles, but I was put off by all the flashy horses doing serious lesson work, and I still didn't feel they were worth the cost - I can get second hand books on Amazon for less tbh.
Which mags do you read, and would you recommend for a happy hacker and having a youngster to bring on ? And do you subscribe or mix n match ?
Ta muchly, sm x
