Perhaps you should post a photo of the rather delectable CS just so we can see with our own eyes what a mistreated chap he is![]()
And for the record, I am just glad he goes out... I don't think many horses competing at his level get regular time in the field at all, with or without rugs. I personally wouldn't put that many on anything (and I am used to fit blood horses) but if you're all happy then really, who gives a monkey's?!
Very true, as long as every one is happy then it's not a problem.
Then again, just because a horse looks healthy doesn't mean they are comfortable, and just because someone is a rider/professional etc etc doesn't mean they do right by their horse. Or we could then argue that top class show horses who have their heads strapped with side reins in the stable for hours are being cared for properly and to the best of the horse's interest. I fail to see how a horse wearing that many rugs can be comfortable, or how it can be healthy for a horse to not have air circulating onto it's skin.
Another pointer - if you take that amount of rugs off to exercise - the whole fact that the horse won't be able to regulate it's own temperature will surely cause it to tense up?!!!
