Who's Horses are out naked today?

I admit I put my horses rug back on tonight... It's meant to drop quite a bit tonight, & it had cooled slightly... not sure if it was the right decision though - if it's above 10 degrees tomorrow she'll have it back off. Tempted to start leaving it off overnight if not freezing.

To make you all even more jealous- I took rugs off & even after 4 hours my mare was still as clean as she was with a rug on! Yay for non-muddy fields :D :p

So was mine! :D She very very rarely rolls (strange I know!). She lies down in the stable and that's it!
 
My two came in immaculate today despite being naked! Checked them at half 9 and left the id naked and put the tb in his thermatex. Both loved being naked today! Groomed so much fluff out of one another!
 
i do realise he wouldnt disintegrate.....but he would drop condition, and he would be standing braced against the wind.neither of which is a good idea when im trying to keep him in absolutely tip top condition. i dont spend ££££££ on feed, chiro, teeth etc only to chuck him out rugless to shiver the condition off, id far rather he used every calorie available for his work, and building muscle.

he was fully clipped and is now nearly in a summer coat, he's got no hair at all.
 
My hairy native seen c (but not hairy as fully clipped in december) was changed down into a mw and neck yesterday instead of his hw. I wouldn't even have thought of turning him out naked, it wasn't THAT warm, I still had a long sleeve top and fleece gillet on. I did check him a number f times and he seemed just right

All horses are different, I wonder how many actually did feel a bit cold from being unrugged but their owners thought what the heck !!

My mare is now naked and unless temps drop or rain and wind picks up she will remain naked til oct/nov. She loves being naked and as she isn't clipped she won't disintegrate, just turn into a hippo thats all. A good excuse to get brushing (me) and her to moult, so summer coat comes through quicker??!!
 
Why is it that some folks think they know what others horses needs are re rugging, when they know sfa about other horses circumstances
The weather and temps are different all over the country.
Some horses feel the cold more than other, it might be due to , clip, age, illness
These blanket ( pardon the pun ) threads are almost laughable in that people seldom agree because every horse and their circumstances and needs differ
