He's too cute and all the other horses and players just stop to stare at him which spoils the game.Dare I ask why Dangerous Brian is banned from horseball?

Apologies but I did have a giggle - sounds like great fun!
We're horsey and therefore by definition, quite insane. We willingly spend huge amounts of money, time and effort in all weathers and conditions to do what is by all accounts, a rather dangerous sport. And yet we love it!

He likes to wave..........often in the faces over the opposing team............as they gallop towards him..................which is frowned upon..................apparently........
But he's just being friendly?
Already stealing Wimbles horses.
can't think which sort of shots you might be thinking of![]()
I am planning to be playing at next event but a have a feeling i am more broke that I thought. Trying very hard to rest knees but I don't do resting very well.Good point.
Anyway, do we get photos next time? I reckon we could get some lovely shots. You'd best be playing at rugby coinciding with a poloX weekend soon so I can pop up with my camera. For my personal collection![]()
that has to be the best report on HHO, priceless.
You are clearly bonkers, but please more reports like this !
A final update.
Good news first, I now have 10 finger nails and I can walk normally
The not so good news.
Owner of horse I was schooling to compete decided to sell as had no rider for him with me out of action.
Last visit to the consultant he look at me with very stern serious face whilst informing that due to nature and extent of the damage I will now have a permanent weakness in both knees. Any repeat of the damage will be much harder to fix, could take up to a year and would most likely leave me in a wheel chair for much of the recovery.
Given the impact the injury has had on all areas of my life during recovery I've decided not to push my luck. Riding competitively has now ceased. I have plenty of other stuff to do (mainly sailing) and having spent 53 years in the saddle I've probably done my share of horse stuff. Still intend to go for an occasional hack when the opportunity presents itself but that will be the extent of my involvement with horses going forward except for supporting my wife and daughter with their 3, fixing lorry etc. Some things will never change.
Note to self, time to accept you no longer have the body of a 20 year old.
Oh I don't know, life sometimes just pushes us in a different direction. I really needed to commit to either horses or sailing but couldn't decide which way to go. Problem solved.I'm so sorry that this happened, I really am. Life really isn't very kind at times(
I've been on here too long to forget the placeWhat a bummerenjoy the sailing and don't forget us!
I might take you up on the offer some time, you could always come sailing. Nice little boat.....I'd say you're welcome to come and hack mine (I do actually have a "horse" you could ride, rather than a pony and everything), but you know I'll only try to lure you to the dark side!
